Well, there you go then. You wouldn't have had those times to enjoy if it wasn't for ED and PG.

And? So what? What's that got to do with your claim that it is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all?

I've not said anything about ED/PG.

petrov on 70k in the rain at peterborough gets my vote

anyway, its all water under the bridge

thing that gets me is when the 'theyre all corrupt' goons start their rants on 'where has all the money gone' to the likes of iles and dearden, you get, 'very good question'

the loons then throw in a couple of profitable transfer deals, ie cahill and anelka as evidence of folk being on the take

Petrov.....£70K per week..... :|

Didn't we also get beat about 5-3 at that Peterborough match?  -  Highlight of that day was definitely seeing Jazza trip over nothing at all and fal down in slow motion....to be followed by him shitting himself  :D

Anyway, irrespective of what has or hasn't been taken out of the club by the current custodians (and I've heard figures anywhere between £100M and £500M from assorted loons and goons) - the fact is that we're still spending close to £12M more per year than we're earning.

Even if we shift the top 5 or 6 earners at the club, I bet we still operate at a loss.

We need to stand on our own two feet, but I don't see how we can save £1M per month on operating costs, or indeed increase revenue by that amount (or a mixture of both)

The current owners don't seem to be too bothered, the townsfolk of Bolton have shown in the main that they're not really that bothered  -  which then leads me to wonder why there aren't a queue of people lining up to buy the club

When all said & done the players (& agents ) have had the money .The wage bills have been unsustainable for a long time .The powers that be gambled & lost .Their management of recruitment in particular has been dire & that's fact .People suggesting money being taken out of the club by nefarious means need to give their heads a wobble.

We need somebody who can negotiate deals that reflect our actual status not the fact we used to be in the premiership and have a nice ground.

Non playing staff getting paid on Friday according to BN

That's certainly good news, it's them I feel sorry for in all of this.

Sadly, I'm shit out of sympathy for the playing staff

It's s bitch running a business properly. Wish I could get patted on the back for a few years then royally cock it up and still be known as a good sort.

Thats good news for them but wish it had been reported a bit earlier - just before I threw a few quid into the pot!!

This.

I would normally agree but the trail of 40+ dissolved companies all registered to BWFC and directed by PG and Paula Mulligan doesn't add up in my view.

Unless this is normal business practise for a football club of our stature.

haha. I've  decided he was on 120 grand per week.

I remember hearing as "FACT" that he was on various amounts. The lowest I ever heard I think was £20K per week, and the highest about £50K per week

No matter what it was he was earning, it was too much.

I'm still amazed that we bought him.....and even more surprised that Swansea decided to take him off our hands
