bolty58 Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 'Door open again for the meeting'. Well what a surprise. The rabid 'anti's no matter what brigade' will come to understand his negotiating tactics and preamble eventually. Quote
bolty58 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 (edited) As I now have 'always being right' Fanny 5 on ignore, I take it he/she has not commented yet on the likelihood that the meeting is now likely to proceed and the leaders of N.Korea and S.Korea have agreed to meet on a regular basis? Of course it would be a mistake to assume that it will or will not go ahead just yet. We are dealing with some massive ego's on both sides here. I won't make Fanny 5's mistake off going off too early. Logic tells me that it is more likely to proceed than not. N.Korea needs to be reconnected to the world as it is failing and starving. The Don needs a major diplomatic coup on his resume and he will never be closer. S.Korea will prosper even more without a threat at its northern border. Just logic - like an Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid double. Edited May 27, 2018 by bolty58 Quote
frank_spencer Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 So the Chinese led negotiations between NK An SK are going ahead regardless of what Trump does or says. Who'd have thought it. Quote
bolty58 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 So the Chinese led negotiations between NK An SK are going ahead regardless of what Trump does or says. Who'd have thought it. Something which would never have happened without the Trump effect but you can't bring yourself to see it or say it or acknowledge it in any way, can you? What happened in relation to this issue under Obama? Your two choices are sweet fuck all or a hardening of positions. The left are blinded by hatred. Quote
frank_spencer Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 The Chinese were already implementing Sanctions against NK it was when these bit that Kim had no option but to meet with SK under the Chinese watch. Trump twittering away was just a side show. Quote

So same goes for anything Obama did or didn't do then, right? I know Trump's a huge cheesy bell but some folk are really blinkered when it comes to him. imo China and N/S Korea will be doing whatever's best for them in spite of anything the US does or doesn't do. Well if Obama had nowt to do with any negotiations other than spouting nonsense on the internet then id say the same thing. I know the yanks like to stick their beak in all over the show but things happen between nations without their interference . Quote

I am not blinkered, i just say it the way i see it. So where do you start with him. He is a racist; he is a misogynist; he has no respect for his wife with his serial cheating; he lies through his teeth about pretty much everything; he is a bully; he makes fun of the disabled; he made fun of John McCain who laid his life on the line for country yet Trump cowardly dodged the draft 5 times; he makes policy on the hoof. There is nothing to like about the man. Quote

To be fair I wasn't getting at anyone on here individually but I am tired of the constant media bashing and barbed comments - it's like living with my Mum in the 80s when Maggie was in power There are many who even if he did somehow bring about world peace and nuclear disarmament would find a reason to have a dig. I guess I find that as amusing/boring as the man himself And I'm gonna have to nick another Blackadder line but that description you give suggests he's over-qualified for the role Edited May 27, 2018 by madthatter Quote
Winchester White Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 To be fair Madthatter, I think it is the fact that he and his supporters attribute these events and good progress to 'The Trumps' involvement which is unlikely to be the case. He is a wake up call for all of politics though and I think his time as president could shake things up for the better. Only problem is he is an utter dick. Quote

Salford Trotter Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 (edited) So Trump finally imposes the long-mooted tarrifs on Steel and Aluminium on EU, Canada and Mexico. Surely this cannot be a good sign for favourable trade talks post Brexit? I trust those that wanted 4 more years of Trump riding roughshod over the world, creating mayhem and impacting on UK jobs are delighted with their new hero Edited May 31, 2018 by Salford Trotter Quote

Salford Trotter Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I don't suppose that China will be subject to these tarrifs as they have provided the funding for his Indonesian hotel. Quote
bolty58 Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 More bargaining strategies but if not, the sooner we are out of the failed political experiment and making a direct deal with our closest ally the better. I see no one has mentioned that cunt Soros and his plans for a second referendum. Have any of you Remoaners applied any thought whatsoever as to what might happen should a second referendum even happen - not to mention if the result was switched around to 52% wanting to remain? Best of three, civil unrest or civil war? Quote

Best of three, civil unrest or civil war? Hang on He has said, at the top of his ridiculous fucking voice, that imported steel will pay a huge tax. We can try and negotiate all we want but that truth is that he's basically just told us - and everyone else - to fuck off. My company spends millions a year on steel which is now inevitably going to rocket in price. This is actually one instance where standing on our own 2 feet simply won't work. If you are negotiating/playing hard ball with that Wotsit-dusted fucknut, you'd want to do it as a group of 20+ countries, not a small island who used to be good at Spitfires. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 One bloke from the states saying it will hurt the states more than anyone else. Spider; where do you get your steel from? My point is that the EU put tariffs on us steel etc then that won't necessarily mean steel from within it will go up. Quote

Our conversations with them this morning paint a pretty glum picture. Regardless of anything, any major shift by His Wotsitness has an effect on confidence - worth remembering that prices are dictated by the LME as much as raw material pricing... He's just a cunt.
