I doubt he achieved as much as he wanted to on taking office. But he had the biggest financial crisis since the 30's to deal with at the outset. Halved unemployment - won the Nobel peace prize - steered the US from a borderline depression - introduced the affordable healthcare act - ended the war in Iraq and began withdrawing troops from Afghanistan - agreed a deal to prevent Iran developing nuclear weapons - championed climate change emission reduction policy - introduced a whole raft of social and welfare reforms. You might not necessarily agree with them - but the idea that he didn't achieve anything is a bit wire of the mark. Quote
