Wouldn't that be a supporters association? Like the one we already have ?

I'm not anti-ST in any way, I just don't know anything about them* in so far as who will be leading them, what their aims are. In fact the only thing I know is that they want £10 off me.

* in respect of them being:

a) a safety net in case it goes tits up

B) a protest group

c) a fans representative group

d) a voice on the board

as I don't see how they can be all of the above without conflicting with itself.

But somewhere the existing BWSA (of which I also know little about) seems to have pushed to one side, and the ST is now, to quote Mounts, 'the lifeblood of the club'.

Lifeblood wasn't my quote it was KA quote. The ST can be ABC or D at different times depends on what's needed at any point in time. The main difference between ST and SA is one is legally set up to buy the club in admin the other isn't if you took time to engage you'd know this.

100 people is not many in the scheme of things especially as a high percentage dont bother going to the match

100 people online within a single 15 minute period is not many! Aye alright.

775 the highest. It's stopped showing when it was though.

It was originally highest after panorama but then that was exceeded when we got invaded by the Blackpool lot before the last game of season jobby.

Has it been exceeded since??

This 100

I bet we could name 80% of them (me being one)

It's hardly representative

They might as well go to the Vulcan

If the new team at the top have said they will engage with the ST, that is good.

It does mean they wont be engaging with any other groups, there will no doubt be any number of mentalists demanding they listen to them.

Personally I would rather they continue with the seemingly improved communication generally than getting upset they have talked to one gang rather than another.

aye

I can't see a way in which contacting forums would do anything, for anyone

we can't agree to fuck all on here, and any attempt to bring any order to communication between forum and club would ultimately be exactly the same course of action that the ST are going down - so why would the club replicate this for every forum / website out there?

if you don't like the ST, and want to have a voice, then what are you going to do about it?  you can't really moan that they chose not to make the first move and contact you.

It's impossible to not like the ST when you don't know who they are and what their aims are, post Steering Group.

One thing that is clear is that this fits one demographic, the BWSA type. With the advent of fan forums and social media then you can communicate instantly. I'm convinced that that is the future.

Oh, I dunno, we seem to agree on many things

No we don't

What I am trying to say though is how many of that 100 put there money into the club by attending matches and paying for tickets

At most 97 coz 3 are Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Sounds like a Banana Splits tribute act.

I bumped into one of the steering group members in Tesco before the last match. The young lad with the big hair, social media guru apparently.

I couldn't attend the meeting the other week, so I asked him for an update on how the group were progressing on registering the stadium as an asset of community value, which is important in blocking a change of use planning application on the stadium.

Now the lad was really pleasant, particularly as I just accosted him browsing the butties, but his response unsettled me a bit.

He said that the work was on hold pending the election, and I'm paraphrasing here, hopefully the current steering group would be elected to carry on the work.

Shirley we want the best types whether they are on the current group or not?

The social media guru is a massive cnut

Based on the fact he calls himself a social media guru

And that he looks like one

Aye that was my impression, but I speak as I find and he seemed pleasant enough.

More concerned by what he said than his appearance or how he chooses to describe himself though.

Do you mean this season or any season in recent years.

Not sure what type of business you run but if there was site like this aimed at people who support your business that was full of people who despite signing up to the site no longer buy your product do you think it would be worth engaging with those people to get them buying again ?

What flavour butties was he buying?

He'd been there since the previous game, unable to make a decision.

Was it in the Whoops aisle?

Youri by chance?

Can't claim to have met Youri but this lad didn't fit the mental picture I have of him.

Reckon the natural choice of butty would be pulled pork for a 'social media guru.'

There's quite a few on here I've not met yet and, Good God, the mental pictures I have of them......

Funny you should say that Satan as I reckon you are within a few feet of me at home games based on a post you made a few weeks back.

Been keeping my eyes open for a bloke in a Dark side of the moon t- shirt.

Had an email survey from the ST asking what fans want from trust on a number of topics. Good to see they are actively trying to consult ST members.
