44 Points

Seems we may have some fight in us

Beat Rotherham and I'm going 44 points to stay up

It's probably low historically but looking at the table that's my call

It's definitely doable

  • I reckon if we get more points than 3 other teams in our division we can stop up.

  • Imagine if the players had thought like that at 2-0 down last night.

  • if we can win sat, and bristol/charlton draw, then it's game on - but only if you forget what's gone on already this season, huddersfield was a kick in the balls and it was a good job really leeds wer

As somebody said, some belting away days in league 1

Bury

Accy(  hopefully)

Blackpool

Sheff Utd

Rochdale

Fleetwood

Bratford

Crewe

Oldham

Plus a few long haul games, will be travelling a lot more next season, I say bring em all on.

A wanderers take over of Giggle Lane would do down a treat.

Think that would be inevitible.

Five of that lot (including Bury) are in with a fair shout of going down.

I doubt whether all five will go down.

It's a tinpot league and I'm not looking forward to sub 10,000 crowds and sub 5000 for the JPT. Folk either forgot what that levels like or never experienced it.

I Remember the drop to the lower leagues in 1983, depressing!

Ten years spent in the abyss, felt more like fifty.

If the worst happens, how long are we going to be in this time?

I experienced the lot mate, and loved all my trips to Wembley, sub 10k crowds at the Macron though will never be the same as they were at Burnden thats my concern, but lets enjoy the ride, the piemunchers seem to be doing ok.

Correct

For me, a good away day is when we win.

Having 4,000 tinpot locals crowing over our demise isn't my idea of a fun away day.

From a beer and larks perspective, it's a different matter.

I doubt whether all five will go down.

Who said they would?

Back up first attempt*

* Depends on who owns the club

We would clean up in league 1 if we keep our squad together

Potentially the fabled unbeaten season perhaps

If we go down, and it looks very likely, then we have to storm straight back. If we can then home crowds will be good and away followings excellent.

Right manager in charge with this squad we should piss it but we have been there before

Squads not gonna be anything like what we currently have however I'm glad about that.

Time spent in Divs 3/4 have never been about home games

It's always been about packing out the away grounds.

Shit for the club's coffers but fucking awesome when you pretty much take over a ground - Wrexham, Huddersfield, Chesterfield, Hull anyone?

Can see us taking over Bury and Rochdale, Fleetwood is a new ground so that one too.

Mansfield was always a big following too, remember us having a massive following there the day the Grand National had that big fuck up, when Seagraves(iirc) equalized right at the end.

7 games in April. Fookin ell.

Sqaud size says no.

Squad size is huge. Just a lot of poor players on the books

I don't think that the points we look likely to get has changed since before Saturday

Unfortunately, I think that other teams have shown more than we (well certainly I anyway) expected them to get - both points and fight

If we'd have started the season in a similar manner to now, I actually think we'd have been ok. Middle of the bottom half ok anyway

Rotherham H 3

Brighton A 0

QPR H 1

Birmingham A 0

Burnley H 1

Leeds A 0

Ipswich H 1

Preston H 3

Bristol City A 1

Reading H 3

Brentford A 0

Derby A 0

Middlesbrough H 0

Charlton H 3

Cardiff A 1

Hull H 0

Fulham A 1

18 points is realistic I'd say...need a couple of unlikely results and to stop drawing so many.

100% up to now

Just read this thread.

Some great posts when looking back and after last two rounds of results.

We smashed MK Dons (can't say that about Rotherham game)

MK Dons draw (unluckily) with Boro and win at Derby!

Got to love football...

The only place relegation is certain is between the ears of the players. Fact.
