stevieb Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 lack of knowledge about life outside the PL bubble. This. He's only ever dealt with the very best pick of youth players and well paid stars. Reckon he'd struggle to get wankers like Gary Madine the vending machine onside. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I suppose Giggs does have experience of being around League 1 players and knows the standard they are at from his time with Wales Quote
tomski Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I think that's where I'm at with this. Couldn't give a shiny shite where he used to work. More concerned about his inexperience and lack of knowledge about life outside the PL bubble. Agree with the experience. But I'm also concerned he's dmb and the circus that would follow Quote
Ani Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Uproar on social media, lots of people who do not go anymore saying they will boycott if Giggs get the job. They are also boycotting if due to lack of ambition we do not get him. Quote
MancWanderer Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Who gives a fuck who he used to play for? Don't remember the pitchforks coming out for Ian Greaves? Maybe, just maybe, if it happens, he might be able to teach our players to pass to a white shirt, move into space, make runs, cross balls, etc Quote
Ani Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 He might know some older experienced players to bring in, Johnny Evans and Wes Brown for instance. Quote

onlyoneawalker Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I'm not arsed about the united link he just doesn't have the characteristics that make a good manager imo all abit Trevor Francis the only saving grace might be the coaching staff he brings Mike Phelan et al Quote
kent_white Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 might be the coaching staff he brings Mike Phelan et al He's assistant to Steve Bruce at Hull so I doubt he'd be interested. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 He's assistant to Steve Bruce at Hull so I doubt he'd be interested. Someone else good then - warren joyce ....... Ah hum Quote

Rizlar Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I really don't give a shit if he's ex manure I just want a Manager who can instill some passion back into my club and turn this losing mentality into a winning mentality which unfortunately the last 3 managers failed to do! Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Who gives a fuck who he used to play for? Don't remember the pitchforks coming out for Ian Greaves? Maybe, just maybe, if it happens, he might be able to teach our players to pass to a white shirt, move into space, make runs, cross balls, etc You cannot draw comparisons with Greaves and Giggs yes they both played at OT but Greaves had already served his apprenticeship as a manager and had proven managerial ability whereas Giggs no experience as a manager no experience at any other club and therefore it must be big no and thats nothing to do with his United links. If we were to go for an unproven manager it would have to Kevin Nolan for me at least he has the leadership and personality to be a manager knows the club inside out. Quote
mickbrown Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Inexperienced, but he's a winner. He's known nowt but winning. He's not known failure Might instill a bit of that mentality around the club. Fuck knows we need something. Quote

mickbrown Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Aye. That shone through the last few seasons at scum Aye good point Fuck it - lets get another run of the mill lower league slogger Quote
tomski Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Aye good point Fuck it - lets get another run of the mill lower league slogger Or not be bi polar about it and get someone who has experience of doing it? Quote
kent_white Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Still seems an odd move for Giggs. Being relatively high profile for a novice manager, you'd think he would be looking to a more stable club. He's an awful lot to lose and he'd be taking on a job with an awful lot to do. Still can't see it happening. Quote
Spider Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Inexperienced, but he's a winner. He's known nowt but winning. He's not known failure Might instill a bit of that mentality around the club. Fuck knows we need something. Precisely. And, if it does fuck up and he loses all his games, we at least have the pleasure of sending the filthy red cunt back down the road with his career in tatters. Win/win Quote
Ratwhite Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 This thread is amazing We dont have a manager installed and folk are moaning, whoever gets mentioned as a possible and there is a three page surge of indifference. I'm at the "really don't give a fuck who gets it as long we get one" stage... Quote
mickbrown Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Or not be bi polar about it and get someone who has experience of doing it? You talking to me? Or me? Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Is this actually a strong rumour or are we just going off the bookies odds taking a tumble because someone had 50p on him? Quote
