on another note ive heard previously Honeyball is one to watch.

Played well last night. Very well. Perhaps why we let the other lad go.

To add a little perspective, Sheff U lost 2-0 at Halifax last night.

over the Summer we have binned off some good young players

We've not. We've got rid of shit young players. If they were good they would still be here

a punt in the eaves twins mould, i know

and a few others have got fixed up, i believe

i dont think we've let world beaters go but a few are victims of necessary cost vctting

You wonder how many of those will end up being replaced by similar cost players?

Maher or eardley?

Greer or threlkeld?

Could be better or worse off?

Jimmy Phillips lad was released. He is currently on trial at Liverpool.

Weren't they only let go as we couldn't actually offer them new contracts at the time due to the embargo.

He wasn't released , he was offered a contract.

He wanted first team football that we couldn't guarantee, so he joined the pub league, then moved home to Oz

Where I think he ended up playing for City's feeder club out there. If he plays for City in any sort of meaningful game, it'll be a trip to the town hall steps time.

Eardley and Greer, purpose built for Division 3. Horses for courses

He was offered a contract but wanted to continue his studies as he is very clever apparently.

He got offered a scholarship in USA which was best of both worlds but just before he was due to go he was invited to go to Munich with Liverpool for a trial etc.

Why are we releasing a youngster who has bow joined a better club than us?

Why did we releasing youngsters when we didnt have a manager to decide?

Was that sweaty kens decision?

When players leave it isn't always because we want them to.

His Dad played in same school team as me. Bound to be a gooden then

Aye iirc at the time we could only issue extensions to those who had the option of an extra year built into their current contract. Like Holding for example.

Wonder why we didn't implement the same arrangement we had with proctor.

As in we'll sign you up when we can. Which will be soon.

Could have told maher and threlkeld to stick around and get a contract when we are allowed to

Could it have something to do with contracts running out, and we were/are under an embargo??

Think he has been loaned out to Huddersfield

And will never play a proper game for City

The only reason I can see him being on citehs books is to make up the numbers of English trained players in the chumps league squad.

That theory doesn't stack up as he is at huddersfield.

That was what i was trying to convey, albeit very poorly that his transfer to citeh only made sense in that way and now they've loaned him out it's even more odd.
