Middlebrook Car Parking Wankers

So

I receive a fine by post from Middlebrook.

They say i spent 7 hours on their car park about a month back and want £40.

Now, I have a tracker on my car, which clearly shows I visited Middlebrook twice that day, staying for 23 minutes and 8 minutes respectively. AM & PM.

They will, of course, be receiving details and an email that will almost certainly upset whoever opens it first because it will have Lemon Party where the opening sentence should be.

Anyone else been collared by this?

Maybe another car has false plates!

That just happens to have parked 2 miles from spiders house on exactly the same day he parked there twice? :D

Yes- maybe victim of identity fraud and doesn't know it. A neighbour rummaging through his undersized black bin. Maybe goes by the name of arachnid.

The cameras have clocked you going in AM and leaving PM and assumed you never left.

I say fuck 'em

Just tell them you'd gone to the match.

Tell them they look like a chimp.

You had lunch, did some shopping, went to the cinema, went home.

7 hours easy.

Jules Darby spends 5hrs at lunch, so it's possible.

No, but I have read that so long as you contact them, (and in your case it sounds like they wouldn't have a leg to stand on legally) and if you were in the wrong, offered to pay a nominal fee of say £3-5 for parking costs there's not a lot they could do.

If you did the above and they wanted to go to court I've read a judge would tell them they have to accept the offer as £40 is an unrealistic amount for a parking fee, which is what they are after.

Not a legal expert but that's what my digging seemed to bring up.

That was the case pre 2012 or summat.

Now, they've got you by the bollox

What is the company called? I got one, a PCN Parking Notice Charge which is completely unenforceable, I have still got it now over 12 months on, do not even acknowledge it, they will make threats but cannot actually do anything

Get yourself to the Emerson office on the Middlebrook or email the centre manager Robert Hallworth and advise you are appealing to them to waive the ticket as they are the land owners. Do not correspond with the company who issued the ticket.

Tell them of your 2 visits on the same day and the fact that you have a tracker fitted and they will waive the ticket.

The cameras have a known issue with them not clocking cars entering and leaving via different entrances to the estate.

Why has no one mentioned sending them a bucket of shit?

THIS

It all depends on who is issuing the tickets up there.

UKPC will send a lot of threatening letters then give up.

Parking Eye will pursue it, right through to small claims.

Euro Car Parks, some they chase, some they don't.

UKPC got a snotty letter from me including in situ photos and I heard nothing else. That was back in July.

Very simple

Your facts are correct, theirs aren't

Let them come after you and let a judge decide

When did they start restricting parking on there? What is the amount of time you are allowed?

May

6 hours

Big signs

Why would you want to spend more than 6 hours there and what would you do?

Shop then go to a match then go to the cinema. You'd piss six hours.

shopping, food, cinema. It's quite easy to do.

BTW, I don't blame them giving a time limit in the week as you get folk dumping their cars for a lift elsewhere or getting the train.

Company fit trackers to our cars

Same has happened to a few drivers - the cameras haven't registered people leaving and coming back

Get the data and send it to them - they haven't got a leg to stand on

Hollywood blockbusters plus trailers easily top 3hrs now.

So that's over half the time gone before any shopping or food.

i had this... not at middlebrook.

sent an email... sorted. no fuss

They've cancelled it

They added that my email was possibly a little rude.
