Was good to be back at a gig on Saturday, missed that. Frank Turner at the Apollo, superb. Roll on Neighbourhood Weekender in a couple of week now

He was supposed to play to 10K at mini festival on the Hoe which got postponed on Sunday.  Doing two shows in 300 capacity pub instead. 

Most plays this week at mine goes to this, think I've had it back on with it being festival season and would be ideal festival tackle if it had been a 40 minute version.

That's just Melodic Death Metal. Quite vanilla. Also you can impress him, Amon Amarth is elvish for Mount Doom in Lord of The Rings.

😆 Yeah, probably not something you want to enter into lightly, it'll be all Vala, Melkor and Simirills before you know it and you'll have lost the ability to speak to women.

You could start off with a bit of easy Rambling On or Misty Mountain Hop by Zep before you get into Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle Earth

The term 'melodic' coupled with any of the words; thrash, death, black metal or grindcore is as egregious as 'Bolton Reds'.

Thrash has always had melody, even Death had lovely melodic parts and Grindcore has some humable riffs.

Personally stuff like Melodic Power Metal does nowt for me, its just too cheesy.
