That was an internal feud rather than Prods v Catholics, wasn’t it?

no idea

I just know the headlines that Jonny Adair rocked up in H-Town and next thing there's drive by shootings and car bombs

girl I know lived next door to his right hand man opposite the Saddle, had cars and cops driving by slowly several times a day, she was frightened to be downstairs in her own house

there was also the story where JA and friends attended a funeral then all went to Sam's Bar for a massive piss up, buying the locals drinks all day - on the way home he beat his mrs in Station Park after an arguement got out of hand

not sure if related but when Rangers played Utd at OT in the CL, a few coach loads of them rocked up at the Saddle for an all dayer before heading to the match

Internal loyalist feud

Remember they got named the “Bolton Wanderers”

iirc it was Jonny Adair’s wife’s house that got machine gunned. Some of them lived off Chorley Old Road near my brother. One of them set off in the car and a bomb dropped off and onto the road without going off. Seem to remember that they pretty much took over The Victory on COR

the car bomb was somewhere off COR aye

the house he lived in with his mrs that got sprayed with bullets was on CNR in Horwich opposite the RMI

Sinn Fein are the majority party in NI now.

Does that mean they’ll all be back living here soon?

No, it just means that unionists will realise the folly of splintering and move to put things right.

Just watching Billy Connolly on ITV 4. An Audience with. The greatest comedy performance ever. Brilliant.

Sheer genius. That's the one with the incontinence knickers right?

Brother in law witnessed that.  The police tried to talk him out of giving a statement!

Presumably he and his cronies ran out of money and went elsewhere in the end?

Indeed I will

I've tried to watch it from the very beginning 3 times now and fallen asleep within 20 minutes. I haven't got Narcolepsy, so I'm assuming it's a slow burner.

We started it and then stopped after the pilot only to pick it up again. Stick with it.

After tonight I'm going to do a full re-watch.

Easily one of the best TV programmes I've seen.

Need an early night tonight, so I'll give it another go.

It’s genuinely worth it

The first few episodes are scene setters where you learn about the characters. A bit dull but set the whole thing up

I thought that Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were a bit shit but folk on here told me to plough through the early episodes and they were right

Succession is right up there with them
