  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Bit of a tangent, but I've never been able to get this out of my brain. There's a tiny, barely-audible 'quack' noise 2 seconds into the theme tune that I first heard ~30 years ago and wasn't able to un-hear it everytime I watched it.

Nope. Not hearing it

Smashed Mayor of Kingstown after seeing Ryan I think mention it on Facebook.

Top drawer tele.

Race Across the World - Series 3: Canada. Great viewing. What a country.

Canada really appeals to me. I have to go there one day

The reunion is worth a watch too. Once the two brothers were eliminated I found myself liking all of the competitors and not minding who won which hasn’t been the case with the previous two series’.

@Traf sorted me a superb holiday last year. Toronto, 4 day train across Canada, then Vancouver. If I’d had time, would have added in the leg north up towards the Calgary area. Amazing country and the folk are just so nice. Happily go back to try Montreal and Quebec

Netflix documentary on the November 13 Paris terrorist attacks

There's one on Charlie hebdo too

Listening to the first hand eye witness accounts of what went down

Truly horrifying

The bataclan sounds like hell on earth

83 dead with bodies piled high in the mosh pit

Grim

Good grief. Watched the first two episodes tonight. I’d forgotten about all the other stuff on the same night as Bataclan and the explosions outside the France vs Germany game

It's been fantastic. Proper heart warming stuff.

The fact that St John's is closer to Dublin than Vancouver blew my mind a bit.

It was Little Whitt on here and you are right. A good un.

Anyone watching Silo? Would suit the sci fi types.

Silo is fantastic so far. I’d definitely make that Juliette character a slap up tea before slobbering all over her.

Yeah for some reason I thought all the cafe shootings and stade de France explosions were on a different night till I watched it

They never really said what happened with the stade de France, just that you could hear two explosions

Guess the bombs were meant for the crowds of people there but for some reason went off outside during the match when no one was around

Think the bombers couldn’t get through security and panicked.

Probably scousers.

Nah, Scousers can get anywhere.

First one got clocked by security for not having a ticket and got pointed out so went outside. Set his off outside the stadium cafe. Didn’t seem to explain about the second one unless I missed in. Would have been mightily grim if they’d got inside

Gonna watch it tonight.

fortunately it seems these type of attacks are being snuffed out before they happen these days (touch wood). @royal white and his men must be paying more attention

None of it happened. It’s all a conspiracy

Its keeping me going - just two more meetings, a trip to the gym and its on.

Certainly has become my favourite TV show, when it's over going to binge watch it from the begining.

One thing I'm not sure if it mentioned or not

Were the cafe shootings and the bataclan all the same shooters working their way downtown in a car

Or all one big orchestrated event of different groups, one set per venue?

It didn't really mention what happened to them

The cafes and Bataclan were the same 3

A couple of others went to the stadium.

Kalashnikovs are an awful weapon to get hit with. Ripped bodies to pieces.

That's what I thought

Just figured the documentary didn't dwell too much on who they were compared to the Charlie hebdo one

Edit

Maybe not

Looks like 3 did stade de France, 3 did all the bars and 3 did the bataclan

With two others involved
