  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Another thumbs up here for Department Q

The Narrow Road To The Deep North is apparently now on iPlayer but can't find it. Nor on Amazon. If anyone stumbles across it, please let me know. It was a brilliant book and everyone in my family read it with my grandpa being a Japanese prisoner of war working on the death railway which the story covers.

Strange. Says it’s available on both but came up with a blank searching for it

It's on US Amazon Prime. You'll need a VPN or dodgy firestick.

Dept Q on Netflix is the best I've seen this year.

Watched it over the last few nights

Tempted to bail out a few times

Overcomplicated but worth sticking with. Not the best but it hooks you in so decent.

I watched the first episode and haven't been in a rush to watch the second.

Persevered and watch it until the end, but by the Christ I found it hard not to bin it off. Like so many Netflix shows it's several episodes too long and therefore comes across as slow and plodding right up until the last couple of episodes. All at bit 'meh' for me..

Yes, the original version is much better and much shorter too

The Residence on Netflix was enjoyable.

7/10 from me

8/10 from my missus.

The latest (2-parter) episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody 'The Butcher of Suburbia' is worth watching...

I just like the weird concept

Latest series of the Bear is out. Hope it's better than the last, mind you that was still better than 90% of things on TV.

Concept is great but I just think the plot is thinner than Bobby Sands

Did not think they would have a weirder more evil cunt on but this weeks was pretty close.

Somehow missed Shardlake. Done 3 of the 4 and pretty good.

Shame diversity and inclusion bollocks has to depict a multicultural 1500's England mind. Before the r word warriors are on the march, it would be equally as disappointing if a 1950's/1960's series in the south of England did not reflect the cultural mix at that time. Accuracy or, as Thomas Cromwell would say, precision. Not too much to ask.
