August 9Aug 9 It's possible it's a negotiation tactic, especially if other clubs are interestedBut I've thought for a while the biggest obstacle to signing Kenny might be Kenny himselfIf it is the case he's decided to stay then he's going to have to do something miraculous to turn things around up there because their supporters seem to genuinely hate him
August 9Aug 9 Hopefully not all our hopes are pinned on Kenny, as it appears on this forum. We need a lot more than Kenny.

Be interesting to see how he does if so.
August 9Aug 9 A comment from an ex wiggin manager and this quickly turned into jonny kenny saga 2.0 . None of us know if kenny was even plan a , some folk need to recognise there are other strikers who score goals.Yes the majority of us would like him but its far from the end of the world, I cant bring mesel to look on twitter but am guessing there are suicidal muppets on the verge of returning their season tickets.
August 9Aug 9 I think the quote is worthwhile sharing, Maloney is directly addressing the status of the player, and one that’s been mentioned in several media sources. Personally I’m not overly fussed if we miss out on a player that’s had a serious knee injury and isn’t fit.

August 9Aug 9 Fwiw and it maybe of no worth, I was told that Kenny has had trouble "fitting in" at Celtic, and this was not much to do with his ability as a football player, which makes you wonder what has actually gone on.
August 9Aug 9 As far as this year's transfers I think the board are being cautious they know it will be a struggle this season to stay up and don't want to get us stuck with high wages bill if we go down it's all about keeping the club stable and not getting into the position we were in previously , it's a fine balancing act building a squad to be competitive and not putting us in debt but I believe the management are all working together to make it all work out it just takes time and we will get there!

August 9Aug 9 I don't think clubs in the Championship really thought it through when they voted on the new rules

Aldo Raine said:I don't think clubs in the Championship really thought it through when they voted on the new rulesPossibly not but I think we’re feeling it too trying to move out players like Taylor and Randall and probably McAtee who are on too long and expensive contracts. I can understand the club being nervous on new deals but it is what it is and unless we’re prepared to compete we’ll be in trouble.

A promotion is a promotion and all that but those 2 championship years were a disgrace. Add to that he’s a fanny and proven from player testimonials. Disappointing as I was happy to get him. He goes in one of the worst. The football was turgid. Releasing le fondre at half time at Leeds. He’s in my bottom 5 easyI lean towards this.Perhaps not as heavily, but Wilbraham made some interesting comments on one of those pod casts.
