I sense that there is a media Schuey and a behind closed doors one.

Even the media version isn’t saying how poor we are. That line is being pedalled by the doom merchants in misinterpreting, or using comments out of context, to get upset, so that they can shout loud and be angry.

He’s never once said how poor we are, just that we need more quality bodies in the squad.

Behind the scenes I’m convinced he’ll be bigging them up, setting ambitious targets and sending them out confident and motivated to do the business.

I bet his degree in Sports Broadcasting has come in useful these last few weeks

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Well I didn’t know that!

I just had to look it up in case it was some joke I wasn’t in on! 🤣

Well that explains a lot in terms of how professional, canny and well he comes across in the media.

Talented man.

Let’s hope so and we should see today how bigger up they are. Big enough I hope? 😁

Anybody else getting a bit sick of Schuey telling everybody how poor we are? Surely it can’t help with the players we want to sign or even the ones who are here that we have the lowest budget in the league. Other clubs don’t give a monkeys they just want what they want for players so give it a rest.

Not heard or seen him say that once. Where and which interviews has he said we are poor ?

He said the players ain't daft , they can see what positions are short and know what we need to bring in.

I'm a pessimist by nature but you've got me beat, now you're inventing stuff to be upset about.

If he was half as good as he thought he was he would have been the next Pele. But he was just another Sunday league player who played for a team that had connections in the professional game

Made is league debut against Liverpool so always has that

FFS, every interview Scueys had he’s indicated that our budget is the lowest. That means we’re poor to me compared to the others. Ok?

Truth is we may have the smallest budget, or the 20th, or the 17th, I don't know, you don't either. Schumacher knows but he'd have to be pretty naive to advertise it. Apropos of nothing I bought a new car last December, was hoping for $10k trade in, would have accepted $8k, told the dealer I was struggling to meet the price and I'd need a good trade in, he offered $20k.

I’m not sure if Schumacher is intimate with the detailed budgets of all other 23 Championship teams, either.

We might be financially poorer than a lot of other clubs but do not necessarily have poorer players..

I meant he knew his budget

Had to develop as a manager and it was early days for his managerial career.

He's had enough success since!

Hard to judge. If we give him a free pass for relegation here, because of the financial situation, he also can't be judged on getting Wrexham out of divisions where they were the equivalent of Man City financially. Can't have it both ways. I do give him loads of credit for being a proper football man and a great bloke, and bringing squads together etc. But some of his tactical decisions were baffling.

you can say that about any successful manager

his record speaks for itself

he's had three promotions with Wrexham and he had three before that

he knows how to get a team promoted

I find a lot of Parky's detractors often know the least about him

He wasn't at the start of his managerial career when he joined us as he'd already guided Colchester United from League One relegation candidates to promotion to the Championship, got Bradford City promoted to League One, a League Cup final whil in League Two, and an FA Cup quarter-final

He got us promoted at the first attempt while under a transfer embargo and then kept us up the following season as the club began to crumble

Wrexham might've had a cash injections but people go on as if three consecutive promotions and a seventh placed finish in the Championship in four years is a piece of piss

He's just a very, very good football manager with a track record of success at most of the clubs he's worked for

Parky was shit. Our wage bill was astronomical when we went up. He struggled with that. A promotion is a promotion and all that but those 2 championship years were a disgrace. Add to that he’s a fanny and proven from player testimonials. Disappointing as I was happy to get him. He goes in one of the worst. The football was turgid. Releasing le fondre at half time at Leeds. He’s in my bottom 5 easy

I know that. I reckon it will go to the last couple of days of the window with that one.

Kenny was unpopular & unneeded there last year and they've just bought two more strikers. He's not required there & is unlikely even to get a squad place.

That said the club won't need £1m or so, so it's in the clubs hands to keep, sell or even loan once more.

If there is any respect between the clubs then Celtic will have told us if there's no chance if thre isn’t ... & they don't appear to have done.

It must be as clear as day that we need more up front, especially as proven by today's game.

Heard this today as well, he wants to stay and fight for his place, which explains our interest in that other lad in Belgium.

Think its likely that Kenny will be on the move by deadline day though, he hasn't got a chance there, they clearly don't fancy him and if he stays beyond this summer then he's only himself to blame, another year wasted for the lad, already 23.

This being the Shaun Maloney who also managed Wigan?

I wouldn’t read too much into what Maloneys says, he’s not going to divulge dealings on anybody whilst O’Neils away but it certainly doesn’t look like there’s going to be a quick decision made on Kenny.
