FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Yep. Always hope for an under-the-radar signing announcement. Resigned to this going all the way to the deadline, but still really hoping for 1-2 newbies in time for Preston. Realistically they wouldn’t be in the starting 11, but it would give an all round boost to everyone I think to see the bench a bit stronger.

Ah well, there’s always tmro…..

You can tell nothing's happening because there are no media posts at all.

Probably got to the point now where the media team don't want to put anything non-transfer related out because of the predictable reaction.

Can't log onto facebook as I'm avoiding HOTD spoilers (Not seen it for 2 weeks as wife's been away).

So relying on here. It's refreshing escaping the doom and gloom of a well known Facebook group. I think every player/member of staff has been blamed this week at some point.

Iles reporting SS hoping to bring in a striker before saturday. But didn't say, which Saturday.

Certainly is. Welbecks and guaranteed 10+ and won't mind not playing every game. Hendo is a proper leader and will sort the younguns out. They'll do well this season Chelsea imo.

I've got them in an ACCA to finish top 4

that's mainly because they've got no European games to deal with

certainly not because they've signed those two

CM is sorted because we have EE who's never fit and Simons who was dropped for the second half of last season? Same for Gale on the wings.

No good naming players who have shown nothing like the level required and saying it's job done. SS said we needed five players and we've signed nobody since. I don't see why that target would've shifted.

fair enough

I mentioned 4 positions so chuck in a midfielder and thats 5

dunno where in the pecking order they'd be, presumably Sheehan starts, so I guess an upgrade on the other three

if we do sign two more forwards we then also have the option of RR in midfield as we saw last season two

Given Leicester were the last team to win the prem whilst not being in Europe and before that it was Leeds, but not the prem, is Europe a massive distraction given the squads teams have these days?

I'd say so

look at United under Carrick

he got to play a very settled side only playing one game a week and didn't have to consider resting or switching things up to accomodate more fixtures

went on a great run because of it

not saying they'll win the title, but for a squad like Chelsea's it could be the difference between top 4 or not

it's going to massively benefit spurs too

Do you think Blackpool will be taking Randall off our hands?

"7.) Bolton Wanderers

Promoted side Bolton have bought plenty of players in but only one of them has cost money.

That is right back Luca Stephenson who joins from Liverpool’s academy while Szabolcs Schon is the most significant departure.

Expenditure: £705k
Income: £516k
Net spend: -£190k"

They've not got that right. Famewo and Watson came in for fees, I think Iles was saying Watson was £150K.

He needs to go to a club that are "grateful" for him. Where he's perceived to be above their level, rather than one where he's battling in mid or lower table L1 like Blackpool was. MK Dons last season would have been perfect, winning games and being dominant, he would probably have looked decent and got his confidence back.

I can see him going to an Exeter, Northampton or Grimsby and doing OK (without actually hitting a shot with any ferocity or purpose).

Posh was perfect for him during his 9 good games there.

Nice style of football in a team of Queers.

After watching 45 minutes I think we would to have to be in the last 17 seconds of transfer window before I thought Pepple at Argyle is the answer.

I appreciate there maybe more evidence to also consider.

Randal could still be with us when the window close !
