keep Dan to play in the pizza cup to ensure we get knocked out early

win win

Can't wait for our usual injury crisis and we are left with Big Dan and McAtee up top for our promotion push :D

WANDERERS should wrap up the loan signing of England Under-21 goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe this week as Steven Schumacher’s rebuilding job gathers pace.

The Bolton News understands that a deal has been agreed with Chelsea to loan the 22-year-old for the season but that an announcement has been slowed because the Premier League club is currently involved at the Club World Cup in the US.

The situation has been further complicated with the fact that Sharman-Lowe is also in Slovakia with England for the European Under-21 Championships.

But the details of the transfer are all-but done, with Sharman-Lowe set to link up with his former Chelsea team-mate Xavier Simons, who was signed from Hull City last week.

He has played  half a game for under 21s so we are signing a goalkeeper that has played 1 season for Doncaster

The only reason Baxter was released and not Southwood is because Baxter is out of contract

Southwood has a year left on his contract and he will do very well to get it extended.......Schumacher clearly did not fancy either

We'll do well to get better in Div 1.

People get far too hung up on stats

The point i was trying to make was one backing up the previous posters sentiments that he'd rather keep Collins.

In Plymouth's promotion season, he scored 12 and got 6 assists. Last season when we were shit and finished 8th, Collins scored 12 and got 4 assists. 🫤

Well, if you're going to get hung up on stats you could easily argue he scored more than half the numbers of goals as Collins last season despite playing fewer than half the number of matches, and while playing for a club that hadn't spent as much as we have and that finished below us

🤷‍♂️

Better as in Baxter or Southwood?.....Both ok  And we did get better a hell of a lot better in Trafford

I suppose you can use stat's for anything.

If he'd had 20+ in the promotion season then i'd get it. I don't see this as screaming out as a major improvement though however we choose to look at it.

When Trafford first came he was prone to errors and silly mistakes. Although he improved greatly, that's why he was snapped up by Burnley. Wev'e now been in this division for 3 years and realisically were not going to be signing top players.

He was the first keeper in our history to keep 4 consecutive clean sheets in his first 4 games...

Bradley, Maghoma and Trafford were all above lge1 level.....Others including louie Barry, Brennan Johnson have played in lge one recently......Yes you can sign quality all be it on loan

Comparing Collins to Ennis or similar players is completely ridiculous.

It's like picking apart SKDs stats and goal figures.

Ennis is a big fuck off striker there to bully folk and win headers. Collins is an inside forward there to play off suchlike.

We are also in Division 3 so we are unfortunately fishing in a pool of players who's wiki stats will hardly ever be prolific.

I think it was just a selection/tactical thing

It doesn't make sense to put a player in the shop window when he's soon to be out of contract

On the face of it no, but it gives Baxter the chance to play and show his commitment (as he said he was committed) or show his ability to any prospective club.

Southwood was in Liverpool airport last night.

Stay tuned for more riveting Bolton player whereabouts info.

Southwood will never agree to be a No2 again so will be off with Hutch as understudy.

I get the point but some of this isn't quite correct. Ennis (5ft 10) is smaller than Sheehan (6ft) according to our website 😂
