I don't think we should be signing any loan signing, we don't have some kind of option to buy if it goes well.

I didn't say we wouldn’t get loans, look at Preston with Alfie Devine, not saying we'd spend that much but they think they have a bargain at £6 million after he did well on loan there. They got him at that price because they had an option to buy, at a lower price than he was worth, after the loan. Imagine if we'd done that with ACD after his failed loan move to Blackburn, how cheap could we have got him then (loan with an option to buy)? £1 million? Less? What's he worth now? £3-5 Million.

I will note though, that i think there is more to squeeze out of both the free and disgruntled player market. There are loads in that later bracket like Kuryu Matsuki at Southampton, been loaned out to Turkey, while they were in the Prem, come back last year while they were in the Championship and played mostly second fiddle from the bench, would he come to us to play regular football, who knows, but i know there are tons of players like this.

Football is both a game and business and loans are bad business.

Not sure Sharon decides on loan dealings.

We do need to get out of the cycle of being reliant on 5-7 loan signings every season. That's just common sense.

Sharon is the boss of Harkin and if you want to get something done it is always a a good idea to get the top person convinced them and everything seems to go smoothly once you have.

We (and every other club) take on loans for a reason.

Because it helps to strengthen their squad within their budget limitations at that time.

Even Barcelona uses the loan system - Marcus Rashford for instance.

I doubt Sharon cares how they go about building the squad as such

as in she will work with the board to determine how much can be spent on the squad

and will the trust them to do what they think is best in terms of the loans / permanents / frees / fees

I disagree with the point that was made about loans being bad for business though, we need them to challenge and then get out of L1
