We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Disappointing season- they won the league.

Will never win the champion's league, so I'd say it was a decent season for them.

You're a hard man to please I reckon!😁

I thought they'd had a poor season by their standards. Lost 8 league games, never top till the last weekend as far as I can remember (I could be wrong), losing a cup final to St Mirren, thrashed by Stuttgart in the champions league knockout, 3 different managers leaving by the start of Jan, loads of fan unrest. I'd be surprised if they would settle for that next season even if they did ultimately win the league (what a turn up), put it this way O'Neill won't still be manager at Christmas if it goes the same way.

Still won the league, and their European adventure went in a similar vein to their others.

We lost a good few games last season, but still managed promotion.

I don't think any of us would regard it as anything but a good season, even if we didn't go up directly.

Beadle's apparently re-signing for Brum

aye

curious to know who a right back that is on the radar of both us and salford is, that is more likely to end up in L2 that the Championship

he's either moving down a league or two to them, or a massive punt on our part

I can't imagine we're chasing anyone below the championship now we've got promoted

they'd have to be a really good L1 or L2 prospect

which is why it's surprising salford are in for him, and could get him at half price

sorry @Flannel Truscott but without a name this sounds like bollocks to me

I'm not going to name the lad, was just sharing what the club have to deal with, I found it interesting. He's played L1 and Championship and is unlikely to go to Salford apparently.

Yes it’s speculated Brum are back in for him and it would make sense for him to if true.

It will be interesting to see if Randall, Taylor and McAtee go on the trip to Slovakia or if they stay here to try and get fixed up elsewhere. If they go maybe Schuey is giving them a last chance to prove their worth because they’re all on big, expensive contracts. Similar with Harrington and Temple who both came highly rated but have had no game time. We should get a better indication come Monday.

They'll surely go because they're still under contract, we'd struggle for numbers otherwise, and because they need to train whether they're staying here or going elsewhere

I wouldn't read too much into them coming with us

Maybe but I think previously players surplus stayed behind and trained here. You might be right though about making up the numbers but personally I’d hope they’re getting a signal chance?

The likes of Daeshon Lawrence went to Marbella last year

Unless there's disciplinary issues, I don't see why they'd need to stay behind

I don't think it's happened before

Interesting comment from SS on ACD.

He has spoken to him and will be doing preseason at Brighton and might be involved in first team squad. But when the WC players return that might change. 8 of their current squad have been at WC.

It is not untill WC players return that teams will be announcing who they are keeping or who they are willing to release or loan out. Clubs need players in the very short term to fulfill pre season.

4 weeks today Sheff Weds away!

Yep.

Of course Brighton will have other options. As will the lad himself.

Loan or Sell ?

Home or Abroad ?

If sell, what fee ?

But I'd love him back.

Hope we aren’t relying on ACD coming back to save the day, because we had him for 80% of last year and finished a distant 5th. We need a lot more than that, one thing i think we need this year is a post man, haven't had one in years, if we're struggling in the Championship, we need someone to make every delivery count.

Is this an attempt to show yourself as meanly rational and hard nosed ?

There are more options than former loanees, you know. Most of our fans seem to have forgotten this when suggesting transfers.

"Sign Kenny"

"Sign ACD"

"Sign CBT"

"(Don't) sign Burstow"

"Sign Fossey"

Yawn. Expand your horizons.

Have you seen the state of the postal service these days? We need a better analogy

I agree much better when people make up links to random other players to pretend they are ITK.

Maybe you should speak to SS who in the article I quoted from is in contact with ACD leading into preseason.

Of course there are thousands of other options but discussing if we can get our better players from last season is pretty logical. No one is suggesting just ‘getting the band back together’ is all we should do.

Exactly this and is there anybody on here who wouldn’t want ACD and Kenny back?

I wouldn't lose sleep if they didn't sign. Louie Barry had 3 loans at Stockport and has now signed permanently...for Sheffield Wednesday.

I'm not convinced I'd want Kenny back tbh

Wonder if Brighton have anymore promising youngsters they're looking to loan to this level. ACD spell here must have left a favourable impression.

Apart from ACD, they had a couple or players on loan at Wigan and Reading. However I noticed they signed a Portuguese winger this summer who has already played a few games for Benfica...no idea if any good, like

Just think what would have happened had we had him for the whole season!

Or where we would have been without him.

Out of all the loans we had, he'd be no 1 for me to come back.

Id be delighted if we signed Kenny and ACD . Id also have Burstow back . There are other players out there but Ive not a clue about them so cant comment.
