July 15Jul 15 A club like ours is always going to be using the loan system , everyone focussed on incomings but we also send players out to get experience or as make or break as pros. For us we had Trafford , Bradley and ACD on loan in last couple of years, none of whom we could have dreamed about affording at the time. Neither Bradley or Trafford would have come with an option to sign that we could afford. Copied list below of last season loanees. Only 2 , ACD and Kenny would I definitely want back. CBT if we could find a magic cure.Marcus Forss (from Middlesbrough)Ibrahim Cissoko (from Toulouse)Mason Burstow (from Hull City)Johnny Kenny (from Celtic)Rob Apter (from Charlton Athletic)Amario Cozier-DuberryCorey Blackett-TaylorTeddy Sharman-LoweYou could argue that the biggest difference last season to season before was the players we had on loan year before were Maete, Etete, and Murphy (according to transfer.net - surprised there were not more)If the club is going to insist on an option to buy in every loan , it will limit our options as some clubs want loan players to get them experience but no intention to sell. In reality it is only the ‘lesser’ ones that will be loaned with the sell on included. (Either as an option or an obligation) To develop (which means survive next year) we need to use every trick to our advantage and loaning in better players will 100% be part of that. I get the argument that being over reliant on loans brings different issues, but I would rather be where we are now needing to recruit than being in a lower division either still needing to sign players or being stuck with Ex loanees. ( I understand option to buy is different to obligation btw) Edited July 15Jul 15 by Ani

July 15Jul 15 Who was the last loan player we signed permanently? It's safe to assume we don't insist on that being in the contract...
