FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Bolton Wanderers should swoop for Premier League-winning...

Bolton Wanderers have Jack Bonham as their starting goalkeeper, but they could find an excellent addition on a free transfer.

I’m not on Twitter. So if you could pass that message on I’d be grateful ☺️

It was half wits like these that got us into trouble with Rico with their stupid insults. Don’t know why people bother or just accept most on there are just dicks.

I’m sure I read we’ve actually made the joint most signings in the championship this season. The market in general has just been very slow. We may come up short at Preston but I think we’ll have another 4/5 in by the end of the transfer window.

You're wrong. Apathy at lack of signings

yes.. it's deffo apathy..

Nothing to do with fans not wanting to pay to see us "warm up"..

Plenty players will be getting loaned out in the coming weeks most we have never heard of who will do ok in the championship....One i think we should be targeting is Mason Melia at Spurs

A little younger than Kenny both full of pace but Melia looks like more a natural goalscorer

Downside of that he has only played in the Irish League

Aye, think he might be going to Lincoln though

Doesn't really fit our transfer model/strategy

SS said we're not looking for a keeper; and Bonham fits the experienced 'Championship keeper' role

In an ideal world we would have brought in 11 quality championship player but we know that's not happening, and in terms of priorities, GK is way down the list. Anyone watching say the last 3 games of last season and the friendlies Bonham has played in wouldn't even make a comment on the GK situation, when we need to strengthen/fill other areas first.

If you look at the signings since Fergal and Schuey have come in, they can all be placed in one of three categories:

  • 1) Loans from a higher level

  • 2) Young players for fees that you can develop and eventually make a profit on

  • 3) Older players on a free with lots of experience at the level we're playing at

Whilst we're too reliant on 1) for my liking, I see the logic of it. Equally I don't see the point of bringing in a second keeper in category 3.

I'd love it if there was a 4th category of good players for the level we're playing at that we might even make a loss on! Eg I would rather pay a fee for a Cameron Branagan, Keillor Dunn or Josh Windass than gamble on an unproven young player, every now and again.

I thought Bonham was very shaky in the first leg, to be fair

Cameron Branagan now features on the first page of a 9 year old thread and the last!

That's a brilliant stat 😄 Probably too young for us then, too old for us now.

Your memory of that game is obviously better than mine, all I can remember is ACD scoring, ACD not quite scoring, and the atmosphere 😄.

OK yes Bradford did attack quite a bit 2nd half, but I can't recall any near goals, just a load of crosses and corners.

he's pulled off some cracking saves though and kept us in the game.

Better defence in front of him this year too.

There were a few fumbles on crosses, and iirc Forino also had to bail him out on one occasion

His shot-stopping ability is very good so I don't think he's dreadful by any means, but he was a weak link in that match

Latest rumour is Pepple from Plymouth is close to signing

FFS lads, look at the author of the tweet 🤦‍♂️

Ffs. Can't believe that's done me..hhaha

Be a good signing that if true. Experience, youngish and goals so would fit the bill perfectly. Get Kenny in as well and what a difference it would make.
