Who’s this dude from Ipswich?

Joe Garner. Was good at Preston a few years ago. Meant to be a proper dickhead too, which is nice.

He scored that daft volley for Preston in the play offs a few years ago

Pittman, Juke and Garner are three reasonable targets

Seems to know where net is only issue is he’s similar type to ALF but younger version and would be decent signing for 500k.

Kinda similar players though

Sounds promising as in there's no reason for it not to happen

Once he's in that'd be the front line sorted, can then cocentrate on midfield and defence

I’d hope a target man also comes in to give us different options, I’d take Wyke right type, right age think he’d be tremendous addition.

Either would do for me tbh then we need a couple of midfielders and then add to the defence .

Nixon saying super agent Jorge Mendes is trying to bring in a mystery buyer for us.

Thought mendes was involved at Wolves?

He's just an agent, not like he's on the board or anything

He was doing stuff with Swansea when that Carvellhio was there

That’s very interesting. How long before superagent disputes it.

I think he is loyal to cash. Doing stuff at forest now as well

I didn't have him down as having any loyalty but I thought he was on the board at Wolves or summert

I sadly think any deal will be hard due to clauses for previous ownership. I've resigned myself that this won't get over the line or we will lose out on a good callabre of owner etc

Garner and Alf cut from same cloth odd one for me Wyke makes sense

Clauses to previous owner are small fry for anyone seriously interested in taking over. Just like taking over a club in debt. The loans to PbP and BM are larger and possibly more significant,

Garner was a right sod against us at home.

Too similar to alf

Hoping Hall will be back up to alf.

Can spend money better elsewhere

Over 6ft according to the Ipswich website. So I imagine at the least he is a more significant presence than ALF.

Any sale of the club would be on a debt free cash free basis, which basically means that the club is valued, then any debts are taken off the price and any cash in the club is added on to the price. Any potential buyers won’t be put off by the debts / contingent payments to ED because they won’t be paying for them, it will be the price that Ken wants for it (knowing he will only get the net value as cash) that would be the stumbling block.

The terms of projected payments to ED are major a stumbling block in anyone willing to invest.

Exactly. Would you buy anything then be told you have to pay the previous owner as well as the current owner.

That wouldn't sit well with anyone I'd of thought

What about if you’re buying something that’s worth £100 but of the £100 that you pay over, £80 goes to the current owner and £20 goes to the previous owner?

As long you get what you want and you deem it fair value then who gives a shit
