Ken isn't naive, I'm sure he has plan A, B and C for all eventualities.

 

He's a good track record of making things happen.

 

Like I say, if we start re-signing those we released, that is when it looks a problem in my view.

3 weeks until the window closes, 4 weeks until the season starts, we need 8 players for the 1st team. The next week / 2 weeks at the most needs 90% of that business done for me

8 for the first team squad maybe. Not 8 for the first team at West Brom. 

Think the 8 players figure is confusing things.

If West Brom was tomorrow we could field an okay team

As i said in my first post the worry is if the majority of that isnt done pretty sharpish we are then panicking and bringing in people we may not necessarily have wanted but we need to fill out the squad

Loans can be done up till the end of August. By season start I'd say we need another centre mid, centre back, left back and a proper striker. Absolute musts. 

 

That is 4 signings. We could then use 4 loans to provide other cover, sign some utility players etc....

But with everyone potentially wrapped up in the World Cup for the next week fingers crossed if there hasnt been anything concrete from the club by then id be at a 4-5

I'd say I'm 5. We need a lot of bodies. I don't think anyone can dispute it would be better if we had more bodies in now for full pre season.

I suspect its more important we get the right ones rather than sign them in a specific timeframe. Sure it would be better to have them already done. But equally if we have to wait for the right players, better that then ones who are average.
