@reluctantnicko Can you confirm that Bolton are still under an EFL wage embargo and so can’t pay more than £2k pw for a player. If so, how is Doyle going there?

I don’t know if it’s true or not but I’ve heard/seen it a few times now. As Matt says he’s made his money now and really likes the club apparently and happy to come here. Let’s what and see.

Its irrelevant what he was on at Anfield, could have been £50k a week, but he's 36 and has played 25 games in 4 years and probably isnt inundated with offers. £2k and 1st choice keeper for us will probably be his best offer, he's unlikely to be 1st choice above Div 2.  I liked a quote he gave - "I dont play for Liverpool, I train for Liverpool".  He's 4th choice if Karius is still there as 3rd choice.
