We are getting some chelsea youngster on loan, although lee anderson on twitter is treating it like we are signing the worlds best player with all these cryptic messages on twitter

 

Think you've misread things there. We were going to announce Karacan today but that has been delayed out of respect. That is the good news, hinted at yesterday. Anderson is at Chelsea's training ground today but he is an agent, he represents players that have nothing to do with Bolton Wanderers, as well as having a role with the club. No premiership club is sending loan players out or making decisions on them in May.

Karacan signing confirmed , on a 1 year contract wiyh an option for another year.

 

Very happy with this, someone with plenty experience at this level & probably not on huge wages. I'd have Karacan miles ahead of Pratley for the same position , so if we could somehow get Pratley out of the club, it would be a cracking bit of business......much better player on lower wages !!

Apparently Morais posted this on his Linkedin. Announcing publicly that he's now a free agent (even though he technically is) wouldn't suggest he's very close to signing a deal with us,  as someone posted on here who spoke to him the other day?

 

Thank you to all my connections for the kind words on my recent promotion to the Championship with Bolton Wanderers A first half of the season that started unfavourably on a personal level, turned out to be my most successful. Having to leave a club that I was very close to was very difficult and wasn't something I wanted to do. But after a period of sticking it out, it was clear things weren't going to change. I wasn't prepared to allow my career pass me by anymore like it had already throughout my 20s, mainly then because i never lived right off the field. Nevertheless time I can't get back. Making it as a footballer isn't just about skill, you need to have a very strong self belief and mentality. When your not playing/injured and people start to doubt your ability is when you need to be very strong mentally. You either go one of two ways, thanks to God I was lucky to find the right way. Maturer decision making and a much calmer head I was able to get out and start playing, doing what I knew I am very capable of at any level.

 

Im now a free agent, in a very good position. Going back home to Portugal for a holiday and to see my family in a very happy and relaxed mood. The hard work has been done and it was well worth it. Never stop believing

As good as he's been for us, he'll be pushing 32 when the season starts and his CV screams lower league journeyman.

 

If we've offered him a one-year deal on terms that suit us and he's turned it down, I'll not lose any sleep.

Yeah. People were flipping out two days ago on twitter because Karacan removed his BWFC picture and details from his profile. Now he's signed. Think too much gets read into stuff players put on social media. Morais is a free agent. Perhaps he has agreed a deal before going on holiday, and will sign it when he gets back? Perhaps he is going away to consider his future? Either way, I'd like him to sign but think we have bigger priorities.
