We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

#BWFC are delighted to announce that Alex Perry has been awarded his first professional contract with the club

Perry is a great passer of the ball. Am surprised that Spooner not given a contract. This numbers limit on the embargo means that it's difficult to offer too many not very expensive youngsters a contract. Must be something wrong from the EFL as per usual.

mini jussi, phillips jnr and spooner jnr all out of the club

i'm saying nowt

Phillips jr doing well at Liverpool apparently.

Got a bit of class Perry seems to always be comfortable on the ball and is creative decent pssser, just a bit lightweight but sure that'll be addressed.

Under 18's player

Any good? Suppose he must be

Only read about him today to be fair. 16yr old. Capped at various youth levels by England. Picked him up from rossendale apparently but seems like a very good player and say he's going to do preseason with 1st team this season and parky thinking about him for championship.

Big big step up that but could be anything I guess

If he wants to go we are powerless thanks to New rules. Will go for peanuts. Hooray for academies

Hopefully he sees what clough did....if he was good enough for united etc he would be there now

£10m. Minimum.

Bloke at work coached him at Rossendale, said he's tall and can play centre half or midfield. Will check tomorrow as never really listened to him in the past.

20m. :)

That's not right is it though? All players aren't the finished article at 12. The difference being we will get fuck all as opposed to years gone by, like Kyle Bartley.

It's unfair to hype the kid up but let's hope he is after a quicker route to the first team rather than securing his future (I haven't seen him play but it seems he is rated highly)

It was important that we regained championship status it does allow us to try and hold on and develop players longer and therefore to get more money for them when they do leave. I would think majority of young players would prefer to be playing in the championship than going to a premier league club and not even making the squad.

the number of kids taken on by the larger clubs means not many fall through the net.

The ones that do and develop late like Max Broughton can be picked up for a minimal development fee.

Decent championship centre back, suit us nicely.

Was only at Leeds for half a season and was made captain.

Mooy valued at £15m now

Why didn't we make him sign a new contract

He wanted first team football.

Yes he was here at the wrong time under the wrong managers.

No one was even remotely bothered when he left though.

exactly. Not sure what the Welsh bloke doesn't get
