I don’t see it at all. Just feels like a scapegoat if I’m being honest. Which games had it felt like we had 10 men when he starts?

Not arguing he’s a world beater but can’t agree he’s like 10 men playing when he starts.

Tbf it’s not just kachunga a few haven’t started that well, hope I’m wrong but I sense JDB will spend more time on the treatment table

I always think that he looks half hearted and not really that committed and he doesn't do enough to influence a game, I think that Kachunga has decent ability I just think that he's never really got out of 2nd gear in his time at BWFC. It appears that we have the Sheff Weds version not the Huddersfield version of Kachunga.

Similar with Bakayoko who I personally think is an impact sub at best and a poor signing, I also don't really rate Jones or Williams in terms of being good enough for the championship - If we could replace these 4 with players good enough to play in the championship then we would IMO have a team capable of being top 6, however admittedly this is highly unlikely as I doubt that FV have enough money for 1 championship standard new player never mind 4 !

FV have basically started from scratch, at best. Maybe we'll start paying Championship money and attracting Championship players when we're in the Championship.

My issues with Kachunga are that he seems to want to take the easy option every time, which invariably involves laying it off/passing it back to where it came and the fact that he seems really timid in the challenge.

There's undoubted technical ability/skill there, but we're not seeing the best of him yet.

That's absolutely fine if we are content with staying in League 1 for a few years, and personally I have no issue with that. However if the club want to have a real good go at promotion this season then unfortunately FV will have to spend more money, as the serious promotion contenders in League 1 have invested in some championship level players.

Evatt mentioned after the Villa game this week that he had been offered players that he never thought would consider joining us, therefore if there is serious intent on trying to go up this season then surely we need to be signing a couple of said players ?

Had a bad injury at Huddersfield and looks like he's never got over it mentally.

Maybe their clubs offered them, but the players would rather stay where they are? Who knows.

I have never booed a Bolton player in my life and have faced up guys who have done.

Proper disliked Moxey and Trotter but never booed them.

However, I really struggle to see what Kachunga adds. He was gash on Saturday and them on the bench can see that too.

He’s not a scapegoat, nor is he hated, he’s just not a game changer. He may have been okay in the past but atm he’s a bit shit.

Sorry I'm not after a row, but I'm not sure what you mean ?

Evatt said on Weds last week that after the Villa game he had been offered players that he could never have thought would be interested in joining BWFC, intimating that there are some quality championship standard players (I assume ?) that would be interested in playing for BWFC, either offered by clubs or agents ?, are you saying things have changed in 4 or 5 days ?

Which seems all the more a strange signing

he had that one good season with Huddersfield but after that his goal return was woeful

As for the argument that FV haven’t got the pockets to get us up, I think that we’ve proved that we don’t need to spend fortunes to be successful.

Evatt’s done a fantastic job but every now and then he seems to get a blind spot, maybe out of loyalty, I don’t know.

He’s had it with the goalies (Crellin, Dixon), and he’s got it with Kachunga.

He’s put a great squad together for the best part of fuck all but to pick him over some of the others is just getting a bit incomprehensible.

As I said - maybe their clubs/agents offered them, but the players said they weren't interested. Or maybe there's something in the pipeline.

Markham's gambled that Evatt could get him back to a standard where he'd be effective at this level, it's not come off so far and can't see that changing sadly. Back up player until his contract runs out for me.

Same applies to Santos after his poor start. And Dapo. The worst thing that could happen now is that the fans turn on them. Give them a break. We're only 6 games in. And we've seen 2 seasons on the bounce how players/results under Evatt shouldn't be judged so early on.

With respect its a lot harder to get out of league 1 than it was in league 2, you would have to be quite naive to think that we can get out of league 1 without spending money on a few championship standard players.

I think Kachunga suffers additionally from the higher expectations that are not unreasonably placed on players who have dropped down from a higher league.

That and the likelihood of him being on of our higher earners.

He was billed as something of a marquee signing and his output so far he been well short of that reputation in my opinion.

Wycombes record signing is 250k, i think

What makes you think its all about transfer fee's ?. FV may just have to loosen the purse strings and increase the salaries that we currently pay to sign the said players that Evatt was speaking about post Villa.

Aye as we know paying more than we can afford is a foolproof method of success.

I'm sure they will if they can afford to.

I think we have to bear in mind that we have a full squad of players signed and are probably near to if not at the limit of our budget already.

I think we might have to move one on to bring one in.

I'm not saying that its the right way to go for the club, however if we don't we won't get out of league 1 anytime soon IMO that's all that I'm saying.

With respect, you’ve not understood what I’ve said.

We’ve got players that have proved they can make a difference. Kachunga isn’t one of them.

Evatt’s done a great job with free agents, loans and bargains in the transfer markets. However, nobody gets it right 100% of the time and there’s gonna be some errors. But it’s so obvious, if you go to the games, that he has given Kachunga so many chances and he’s not taken them.

I don’t think we’ve lost any of the players that beat Sunderland, Ipswich last season and Wycombe this season. Kachunga didn’t start any of them.

The players are mostly there, one or two additions would be great, especially if it’s a striker who contributes.

I think folk need to accept we are league one mid table again this season. We will brush aside the shit and Evatt Will be ace and a tactical master and we will then lose to the better sides.

this squad is still something assembled relatively cheaply and are not a patch on sides like Sheff Wed. We play some great stuff but we just don’t create / take chances. It’s nice to watch sometimes and great when we win mind

Sheff weds were good but not a patch on Rotherham or Wigan last season

bradley scores it’s a different outcome then we gift them a goal

good side but too much smoke being blown for me

I think this is pretty much bob on.
