Trafford's got even longer left on his contract. Signed a 4-year extension last Summer.

Loanees will be on the cards until we hopefully get promoted and if/when we do we'll need half a new team to compete - but whilst we're loaning players from the likes of Liverpool and City it's unlikely we'll be able to buy them outright. FV are not averse to a bit of wheeling and dealing so everything could change.

Wouldn't surprise me if FV have a plan to seek new investors - or even owners - if we make it to the Championship and then it could be a different ballgame.

Yeah long term deal but I still think he’d be cheaper than Bradley atm. Still in the millions and still unaffordable mind.  Traff is a really good gk with potential to be a great gk but there’s quite a few good young gks about. Attacking full and wing backs have almost become the most important positions in football nowadays as most teams generate all their width from those positions. They now have to be the fittest players in the team and be able to move into midfield, underlap, overlap, defend and attack - they’re the most dynamic players on the pitch.

Hopefully this first bid attracts other suitors into the situation to initiate a bidding war as it does look like we're trying to actively cash in on him now. Get a nice % sell on fee in there too, it's unfortunate as he absolutely carried us the first half of last season but we're more of a unit now we're less reliable on him

Half a mill is about right - but I'd be inclined to keep him for that unless we are confident of getting an upgrade for less - and I imagine Evatt does think we can.

500k seems cheap seeing as he's got 18 months left, but I suppose we got him for nowt... Hardly "Money Ball" though is it? My lad's going to be gutted. 🙁

If Dapo does go it will be disappointing. It just feels we have not get the best out of him and if we have aspirations to continue to improve letting good players ain't the way forward.

If it frees up money or brings in a fee to sign a better player then fair enough but let's see.
