Taped it off the telly. Tape wore away in the end I watched it so many times. Me and a mate had gone down to the front row just before the end (getting our flag rather than walking away) so you can spot us smack bang behind the goal going mental when Ricketts equalised. The white tracky bottoms were a bit of a giveaway but in my defence I was only 15.

Just going back to the Notts County home 3-3 game, I remember it being on Grand National Day but was there not something unusual about it? The year there was a false start or a different race time to the traditional time? I seem to remember quite a few people had left the ground at half time to watch the national and missed the comeback

Notts County was 1989, false start was 1993, bomb scare was 1997.

 

They've messed about with the off time a few times down the years, I think. I remember watching Bindaree beat What's Up Boys on the big screen at half time when Bobic scored his hat trick, but it's tended to be run during the second half in recent years. This year I'll be able to watch it in a boozer in Scunthorpe after we've turned them over.
