Spearing

If it's his medial ligaments then he's gone for the season so we are now well and truly fucked !

doubt it.

unless he signs a reduced terms contact.

but even such an offer on the table with his injury record?

I don't think Mark Davies is any position to demand a large contract, with his injury record he'll be lucky to be offered a pay as you play deal.

Somebody will offer him a bigger wage than we can afford to, so hell be off. I'm sure a Championship team will take a risk on him, even if it is pay as you play.

it's a shame, because on his day.........

He was wank before his injury. Time to move on.

aye course he was

like clough was

like ameobi was

the reason we move on from mark davies has balls all to do with his ability

Dream on.

He was shite. No work rate, for a bloke with his ability and experience he was far too inconsistent.

Look back at folks comments re his performances early this season.

You choose to disagree, fine. But doesn't make my opinion nor anyone else's less valid.

But of course as usual anyone who differs from you is belittled as knowing nowt.

i dont need to look at comments

i know what i see

a bloke who had more to his game than running around like a twat

he rarely gave it away, something which may well have helped us on tuesday when all we could do was give it straight back to the opposition

and when he got injured we had won our first four, so aye, there'd have been some on some individuals backs but i generally treat those types with the contempt (i think) they deserve

Now I can agree with that. Bit I also know what I've seen and a number of our highly paid experienced players haven't worked hard enough. Weather they feel league one is beneath them or other players aren't good enough who knows.

It isn't a case of running around like a headless chicken, but its showing that you are better than this league and driving the team on. Spearing done it all season- might not have a forward pass in him- your words- but being the player he can be.

I'm no fan of Mark Davies but we would kill for him in the team now/this season

When Stuart Holden was being Bolton's most important player since JJ Okocha, whenever Holden was injured Mark Davies was one of those who came in and the results suffered because the midfield workrate dropped.
Thankfully Davies and Spearing are out of contract in the summer but there's another season of Pratley's silly wages
Spearing could do a job for us in League One but only if he'd take a huge pay cut.I'm not really fussed if he goes, he isnt the driving force behind a promotion winning team like those other Scousers we had Mcateer and Reid

I sadly agree. I like Spearing but he never runs the midfield like their fella did on Tuesday or the Scunny chap did.

I'm sure there are better and cheaper options out there.

Got to agree won't be to bothered if Spearing goes he's way too expensive and I hope somebody takes Pratley off our hands however his injury record will stop that, as for Mark Davies never rated him we have dropped from the prem to league 1 while he's been with us always injured and way too lightweight good riddance , this league is his level.

I still remember Mark Davies hiding at Bristol City, when we were being mullerred last season. I'm sure he was subbed at HT too, he was that dis-interested.

The fcucker didn't want to know....

Where was he for the majority of last season too? One of the few seasons where he wasn't injured. Missing - that's where he was.

Ability of sorts yes, and surely it would surface at this low level, but i wouldn't like to bet on it.

You certainly wouldn't want the guy in the trenches with you.................

Spot on. But the lower you fall and all that.......

Well put with that last sentence.

At least spearing has shown up and maybe illustrating he can cut it in a higher league; giving himself a chance of a deal with another club if not us. Not a world beater but he's been a good professional this season.

If everyone was fit the midfield would include Spearing, Pratley and Mavies.  They are our best three.

FWIW I thought Davies was playing ok before he got injured this season.

Bristol Rovers away was very good early on this season and Mavies was the one just keeping things moving doing the simple stuff.

There's a reason our team tend to play long most of the time now.

Our midfield is devoid of any talent, really.

As you've said, our best 3 midfielders are out injured.

I'd add Vela to that list, but only as the very front of the midfield, playing in a number 10 role off of Madine.

We'll find out, but next season, cos its nailed on he'll be sat with Laurie Wilson Saturday...then his contract is up.

How long is he out for?

My memory of that farce was that not one player on the pitch was fit  to wear the shirt.

Anyways, he has some quality, no doubt, but will go down as one of the most frustrating players we've had.  Not consistent enough and I agree, went hiding too often.

Still think if fit though and 'on his day' he could offer a Prem team something . . . hence the living paraplegic paradox that is M Davies

Did half time draw without crutches or limp.

PP says injury not as bad as first thought

Massive good news.????
