October 28, 20178 yr 6800 members, from a time when people were signing up their granny and the budgie. Letters of support blah blah blah, it's looking more and more like snake oil every time you post. You have zero credibility. Zero, nada, fuck all. Of course the Trust have credibility your comment is your opinion and you are allowed to have that opinion. The Trust was set up so all BWFC fans could if they so wish have a voice that you choose not to use that opportunity is completely up to you. I'd go as far to say stand on that ticket and see how many followers share that view. You could do a Sinn Fein and refuse to take your seat if voted in. Edited October 28, 20178 yr by Mounts Kipper
October 28, 20178 yr over 6800 supporters pledged to join the trust at its inception, with over 3000 becoming share holder and over 11,700 supporters turned out for the legends game we organised 11,700 supporeters dint turn up at the legends game to show there approval or support for the trust - they turned up to see the legends ( and to stop you blowing your own trumpet wasnt it jointly organised between the st and the BW Community Scheme, and as all ticket sales were handled via the BWFC T/O, it looks to me that the st involvement was pretty diluted Edited October 28, 20178 yr by bwfc2003
October 28, 20178 yr They stated they were credible, I disagree, it's opinion like you state. My opinion is that without the backing of the majority of BWFC fans, or even their own membership, then they lack any validity. Clearly the only opinions they like to hear are ones like their own; people who get off on knocking the club. I'm not in their target demographic. I've stated my opinion repeatedly, it needs parking until such time as it could possibilly have a positive impact. I care about Bolton Wanderers, I don't enough about this organisation to waste much more of my valuable time on. They want to hold the club to account, I'm happy (as a member/shareholder) to hold the board members to account when they are talking shif.

They want to hold the club to account, I'm happy (as a member/shareholder) to hold the board members to account when they are talking shif. That's like saying the Labour Party, Conservatives, Lib Dems or UKip lack validity, because the majority of the country don't support them, as only around 60% of the electorate actually vote As for only wanting to hear opinions like their own...a bit of kettle calling pot there... I've seen what happens to posters on here who don't fit into your demographic and dare to have an alternative opinion... If you believe in the concept and objectives of an ST but don't agree with the personnel involved in the running of it, you should get involved to effect the changes you want to see... If you simply don't agree with the idea of a Supporters trust..then you don't join and you argue your stance... I don't mind any of those positions, what pee's me off is when we're criticized for doing what we're set up to do or when people just make stuff up about us just because it suits their argument, or worse, because they're looking for approval and acceptance from their peers but to address that specific question...., we as a board don't all share the same opinion, but we're a democratic organization, we all have a say where we state our opinions and vote on the issues being put forward I'm also happy to meet anybody who wants an adult conversation about the ST...
October 28, 20178 yr The ST need a credible election & a field of candidates in order to move forward. Not sure that will happen though & the sniping will continue.
October 28, 20178 yr They have no mandate to speak on behalf of Bolton supporters. Wish they would understand that
October 28, 20178 yr Fair play for coming on here but the ST will not get the backing off the fans while you and izza are involved. Double fact with cherries on top
October 28, 20178 yr Josh8 , do you think the people on the board should have a representative of different fan groups......e.g. , Young fans, Senior fans ,Disabled fans, LBGT fans , Ladies etc?
October 28, 20178 yr You are right Ani, the trust doesn't represent BWFC Fans, it represents the BWFC Supporters Trust, of which you can go in the website, read the model rules which sets out the aims and objectives of the Trust (As laid out by Supporters Direct and adopted by all ST's), if you agree with them, you are invited to join, if you don't, you simply don't join... (by the way, over 6000 joined and over 3000 are shareholders) Its just the same as any other club or society...if I don't like what they stand for or what their objectives are..I don't join.... As for the running of the trust, that's a different matter... like I've stated before, none of us knew each other before January 2016, we're all from different walks of life with only one thing in common, we're all avid BWFC Supporters, just like the members on this forum...and unfortunately there isn't a "How to run an ST for Dummy's" manual out there.. so, yeah, we've made mistakes, we're not the ultimate professionals, we're just fans like you lot on here who care about our club and feel supporters should have a voice, but again, you can only effect change from within, So the more people who get involved, the more representative it will be... Your own Model rules states : The Society’s objects are to benefit the community by: 4.1 being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves; You then can't hide behind "We don't represent the fans, we represent the Shareholders". Either you represent the fans, or your entire model rules are worthless. Zero credibility.

October 28, 20178 yr If folk with different views don't join and get them views across what the fuck the Trust supposed to do? I’m not a member of the supporters association either. Point is they’ve never once claimed to represent my views. The trust think they have that mandate. They don’t. End of story

End of story They have a mandate one driven by their members your choice not to get yourself heard keep shouting out loud in an empty room because no one listening to you. End of story. October 28, 20178 yr Author If folk with different views don't join and get them views across what the fuck the Trust supposed to do? Gauge opinion on forums etc
October 28, 20178 yr For me, until these 'high net worth' folk tip up and give a credible alternative to K.A they are nothing more than an annoying supporters club. Trust my arse
October 28, 20178 yr Gauge opinion on forums etc A trust is there to get members views across not a random selection of not rights on fans forums who shout loudest. Edited October 28, 20178 yr by Mounts Kipper
October 28, 20178 yr A trust is there to get members views across not a random selection of not rights on fans forums who shout loudest. No its not. Again: The Society’s objects are to benefit the community by: 4.1 being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves; No mention of this being limited to only the members (itself laughable, over 50% of 'members' expressed interest, then declined to take it any further). You cant say one thing, and also the opposite, and be expectyed to be taken seriously. see - "I'll not stand"/"I'm standing"

The Trust done more for the community in the short time they have been in existence than any other group of fans I know. It's time for the Trust to move on and embrace those fans who believe that the Trust can be a force for good, No issue with those folk who don't agree but it's time to move forward with those fans who believe the Trust has a role to play in protecting and supporting the club and playing it's part in supporting the community. Really? Well tell the bloke that's knocked their website together then will you? Because they certainly imply they've got a mandate. And get them to spell check the site while they are at it. Fucking amateurs
October 29, 20178 yr Really? Well tell the bloke that's knocked their website together then will you? Because they certainly imply they've got a mandate. And get them to spell check the site while they are at it. Fucking amateurs They do more than imply Who are you and who gave you a mandate to speak for all BWFC Supporters? We are a collection of concerned BWFC supporters who independently contacted Supporters Direct and where put into contact with each other by Supporters Direct to try and formulate a way of starting a BWFC Supporters trust.
October 29, 20178 yr They do more than imply I was being kind and giving them the benefit of the doubt.
October 29, 20178 yr I reckon we should set up a counter trust to represent the 10k that aren't members.

October 29, 20178 yr I've expressed a dislike of the trust and cancelled my membership. I'm not sure they are worth getting worked up about like a few on here are. Gonzo when is trust of supporters association starting up?
October 29, 20178 yr Yeah...I can see it now, 'Apathy Wanderers Supporters Trust' Standing on the ticket..., moan alot and do Fcuk All It's a definite winner here.... But what is it you lot actually do other than call the club and hope it fails ?
