Clearly it's not apathy, plenty of people have very strong opinions on the people running the ST and are prepared to act against them. We don't have a choice in this matter are they are all remaining in place.

Not sure if all remaining in place 1 has to step down and it'll depend if they want to immiediately seek re-election.

Let me know when the ones who haven't been elected stand down. Until then it's a sham election.

No one of here wants any part of it surely.

No-one off here could run for office...

Look at what happened to that Jacob O' Mara...

All he wrote was he'd like to stuff his cock up Jamie Cullum and have it off with the Pussycat Dolls (and some other stuff) and look where it's landed him.

Tame by WW's sickeningly low standards.

I guess if nobody comes forward, then we get what we deserve as regards a Trust. Whilst I don't like what they are currently doing, and also don't fully understand what use they actually are, I like most people clearly don't care enough to try and change it.........

As Mounts says, apathy will win as usual (and this isn't something that's exclusive to Bolton fans)

Spot on

it might work if some members stand on a' ST not representative ticket ' & get plenty votes .Three new board members with alternative views to the current non elected cartel might be enough to send them packing especially with a mandate.

Presumably the candidates will have to put out some sort of spiel  to enable the members to make a choice .

The thing is I have no idea what the 'rank & file' ST members think about the current regime.

Do we know who are the 3 board members who are standing down?

Do we know who are the 3 board members who are standing down?

Only 1 need stand down as 2 already have in the past few months.

Surely to claim to be representing fans they need to get a certain number of people to stand and more importantly a set number to vote ?

I won’t get involved because despite asking no one has really explained what the Trust is there for. So the Trust does NOT represent BWFC fans it represents a tiny minority who currently are involved. They can not claim to represent everyone who originally signed up unless they need an agreed % of those people to vote.

If no one stands and no one votes it just shows it is an irrelevant and pointless group. Although those involved maybe well intentioned they can not claim to represent anyone.

Over 200 votes on this thread about the Trust does anyone think you will need that many votes to be elected ?

Aye.....It isn't apathy but the fact that people really do not like or support them. I don't know a single person who backs them but the ST will probably try to spin it as apathy. ( I wouldn't even join to vote against them because they'd claim a growing membership. )

It's a shame, because a representative ST  (like at Pompey ) can be an assett to the club, but the current leaders have alienated so many fans with their opposition to KA & their willingness to undermine him or damage the club, that it's too late for them now.

IMO it needs a complete clearout of the likes of Izal & co, or even a complete fresh start for it to have any chance of acceptance.

100% agree

All I ever hear is "they are a safety net" but nobody can explain beyond that, generally because they don't know themselves

If I lived closer to Bolton, I'd stand on behalf of WW

I don't think you actually need to do owt

We just need a legitimate voice to out them for what they are

Interested to know what you think they are?

I actually think stand just to disrupt them is a bit shitty.

My only issue is any claim they represent ‘ the fans’ anymore than 50 on a coach to Plovdiv represented the fans. A small cross section and very niche segment on that coach.

If they have candidates getting a few hundred votes then they might have a case but until then they are an irrelevance

To be clear not saying that is why Traf might stand by the way.

disrupt, chamge

call it what you will

at best we have another 12 months of 'no change' due to 'them' keeping enough seats to control things

in the mean time, somebody on the board with a different view would have a platform to speak out

Are you suggesting that I'm a fractious,disruptive fucker? :D

If so, thanks. But I believe the ST isn't in touch with our support and that this place/BurndenRacists/Sluffy's Mob etc are and as such a representative from one of the forums could be a useful addition to the board.

Oh, and I'm a high net worth individual.

other option, is for folk to join up to the bwsa

they are generally supportive of the club and could fill a gap that needs filling

id love to have had answers to why it was necessary to move tomski and his men

why we agreed to move hull

if they had 6,8, 10 thousand members, they could genuinely speak for the fans

Moving Tom's mob for effectively 2 games a season is/was a joke.

They should have been allowed to stay on the proviso they had to move for certain games and some "allowance" (pie & a pint?) made for those inconveniences.

Mounts was there any feed back from that meeting ?

Ironic that Mike Smith tried to takeover at BWSA and they saw him off. Now we want him out of the organisation he founded in the aftermath of that.

It was felt that all the answers to your questions had been answered before during Josh visit on here a few weeks back and if you wanted to discuss in more detail they'd prefer you met up to discuss.
