miamiwhite Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 What do you want, a fucking medal? Someone on telly has shared your view and you've not stopped tickling your own bollocks since. Touched a fucking nerve have I ? I'm simply asking those who are deliberately avoiding the question of Wahhabism, which is what certain folk tried doing on Question Time ? Hope that helps !!!!, Quote
miamiwhite Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Was Charlie Hebdo or Theo Van gough to do with foreign policy? They'll use any excuse to murder. Wasn't Charlie Hebdo to do some drawings drawing of Mohammed ? Quote

miamiwhite Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I'm not suggesting you've made it up, but I suspect its proliferation has been hugely exaggerated. Stop talking shite fella. Speak to experts who I do, ones who have studied it for years and researched it for years, speaking to many leading Muslims on both sides. You'll realise then pal. Quote
KP Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Was Charlie Hebdo or Theo Van gough to do with foreign policy? They'll use any excuse to murder. Was watching an interview with a former extremist a couple of days ago, a reformed one. He said these people genuinely believe that killing non believers will grant them internal paradise. IS propaganda says exactly the same. Fucking mentalists. When they're blowing up mosques, did they have an issue with the foreign policy of their fellow muslims? Did they fuck, they blew them up because their non extremist views make them non believers in their eyes. We are everything they hate because we're also non believers. That's why they're targeting our innocent children. Quote
miamiwhite Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Okay. Speak to experts who I do, ones who have studied it for years and researched it for years, speaking to many leading Muslims on both sides. You'll realise then pal. Miami, I don't know if you've ever followed any of Adam Curtis work (he's a documentary film maker who says that his favourite theme is "power and how it works in society", and his works explore areas of sociology, psychology, philosophy and political history). He made a documentary film called Bitter Lake for the BBC in 2015 that basically explains what has happened up to that time in the middle east, and why, including the rise of Wahhabism since the 1930/40's. It's a long film over two hours and the way it is delivered is different from most films but it really is enlightening viewing on understanding what has happened and I would go as far as saying it really is essential viewing for most people to really get a grasp of why Wahhabism has spread, its effect, and why nothing as been done about it. The film is available for free on BBC iplayer here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02gyz6b/adam-curtis-bitter-lake I think you will find it fascinating viewing and I hope others who want to gain a better understanding of what is really going on that most mainstream media tend to shy away from, will give it a view also. miamiwhite Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 That Muhammad fella knew his stuff. One interesting point re the W word and IS, is their denial of three pillars. Experts see it as a threat to the Saudis and as one poster said earlier, both will ultimately end up at war with each other. I cannot wait for that day. Quote

I've seen it several times Sluffy, thanks mate. As you correctly say, folk will glean much more of an understanding of what is really going on and will raise questions why the mainstream media tend to shy away from it. It's precisely what they did the other night on BBC and why that woman from Didsbury Mosque tried to deny it, but she was equally swiftly put down by the Muslim CPS chap. Thanks again pal. Quote
birch-chorley Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Anyone who thinks that dropping bombs on those countries didn't have a huge impact is naive. As usual there isn't one thing to blame but multiple contributory factors. One of those has been ours and other Western countries foreign policies over the past 50 years. We've funded lots of these groups. And then tried to sort problems out with bombs and soldiers and simply made it worse. Not sure if your agreeing with my point of not It seems Jeremy Corbyn has fingered foreign policy over the past 10-15 years. Which for me is a complete load of bollocks. As you say it goes back 50 years, I'd say even further than that. The foreign policy decisions made have been intertwined with world wars, cold wars, revolutions and many more. You can't unpick it, to be honest if you could invent a time machine to go back and unpick it im not sure it would be wise to do so as you don't know what would happen if we hadn't had done what we have, it could have been much worse for all anybody can say I'm not sure what his change of policy would look like, but if it would involve leaving countries like Iraq to it whilst ISIS run wild and the democratically elected government ask us to get help them then it's not for me Quote

I'm no fan of his, as a person, but Jesus they are scraping the barrel very low with that one Quote

I'm no fan of his, as a person, but Jesus they are scraping the barrel very low with that one Character assassination and slogan repitition has pretty much been the main tactic from the Tory campaign. Which is fine but it's not exactly inspiring. I got a brochure through the door the other week and I shit you not it was styled on Take a Break magazine or something. Same typefaces - everything in stars. Questions like - Why is the election so important? Real lowest common denominator stuff - which kind of shows how folk around here are perceived. I'm surprised they didn't photoshop some horns onto JC :-) Quote

I meant more the way the campaigns have been run, between this, the referendum & the 2015 election it's not been good at all In terms of your point, I'm the opposite, been politically homeless since 2010 really, its a case of the least worse option for me and Corbyn is by far my worst option Quote

We had Theresa May just round't corner the other week at some centre or other. I'd rather stick my head in the sand and watch golf than listen to any politician these days. As Birch says, makes fatty, hay-makers seem politically savvy . . . (more of a jab on reflection ) Sadly, that add alone will win it for them, no doubt. Quote
