I know a large number of historic labour voters who are voting Tory solely to prevent corbyn from becoming pm because of their perception of what he stands for and are genuinely frightened of what would happen if he did get in

I'm joining the bandwagon and calling bullshit.

You know a large number? Personally?

How many?

Nope you don't.

I'm a former Labour voter who will be voting for the fascist Tory bastards for the first time later.

Marginal seat and £70 on the Tory boy are making things rather exciting.

Interesting to see that the shape of this poll has stayed broadly the same as its gone on (2:1 in favour of Conservatives)

Its no huge surprise based on the previous 300 pages or so and is no way a true sample of data from all corners of the UK

If you go off social media it would look like a Labour landslide but again the demographic is skewed the other way

Its going to be tight I think

Anyone staying up all night? I think I will see what the exit poll says at 10pm then get my head down until about 4am when Chorley should declare - it should be relatively clear which way its going by then

Go on - convince me why a hung parliament would be worse for Brexit? Why would the Labour Party cripple the country?

You have no idea what she wants from Brexit - none of us do.

The idea that everyone should shut up and allow her to 'crack on' is as naive as it is foolish.

Because the assorted bunch of misfits will vote against everything to hinder and eventually try to stop Brexit, Because they have promised to fix every ill and throw money at everything, they are also strongly Trade Union backed and influenced and ultimately they will ruin the economy create unemployment and try to fill the falling tax take by borrowing money, we have been here before in the 60s and 70s folk have long memories and that why they wont get near 10 downing street.

I can just about put up with deluded reds, also ran yellows whose centrist philosophies would mean nothing worthwhile would ever get done and even votes wasted on minor parties (except the fucking odious Greens - the most sinister political party around).

To not vote? People have fought and died for the right to our democracy and, whilst I will accept that you have a democratic right not to vote, I will never understand those who don't unless they want to feel good about moaning about whoever gets elected as they can honestly say they didn't vote for them.

They need to introduce the Australian system of fining those who don't vote - that would sort it.

Not aware of anyone in my extended family voting anything other than blue.

Blue is the colour.

Voting history: Labour, Lib Dems, Tory and this time I'll be voting Tory again.

Perhaps if I was in a different place in my life I'd vote for Labour.

Despite not voting for Brexit, I do feel the Tories have a better chance of getting a better deal for the country than the current Labour party.

Assorted bunch of misfits? One thing that has struck me is that those who are most fervent in the support of the Conservatives is that they are a rather thin skinned and over emotional bunch on here.

It is wrong to say we have been here in the 60s and 70s. There are very few similarities, if any. Its a dead cat argument, especially given the almighty mess that the Tories have made over the last 7 years on hitting the economy without signs of growth - or supporting those who are struggling the most - firstly Osbourne and now Hammond under the guidance of May.

Tell me again (leaving the emotional rhetoric aside for a moment) how do you know that the Conservatives will get us a better deal, given the leader is a remainder (someone who disagreed with only a few months ago) who has appointed a cabinet for political expedience (and called an election for the same reason)

The fact is you can't. You don't know that they'll get a better deal - you don't know what terms they are negotiating on. None of us have been told. So tell us. How do you know?

You want a total exit at any cost - anything else to you is a hindrance - lord help us is the government of the day listen to the cat calls and the braying voices of the exit at all costs mob.

I still havent a scooby doo how labour intend to pay for their manifesto while at the same time take us out of the EU with all the difficulty that may bring. Are those tax increases for the rich going to do most of those pledges or is it increased borrowing?

The thought of Diane Abott at the top table genuinely frightens me.

The torys have had a poor campaign. They havent promised anything apart from more of the same really. But i think their caution is kind of right considering the next few years we may face. They should also have locked up Boris till it was over, but i back them to deliver Brexit over any other party.

I haven't got a clue how are the Tories going to take us out of the EU. I'm genuinely interested.

You say caution, are you suggesting the last 7 years have been cautious?

You are a card can you imagine Corbyn wheeling in Abbot to Brussels for negotiations waving a white flag in one hand and the red flag in the other unilaterally giving everything away without so much as a negotiation on the other hand the Tory party have repeatedly stated their basic requirements which is free trade/control of borders and taking control back from the ECJ supporting Labour is akin to supporting the EU and siding with Sturgeon and will only weaken our chances of getting a good deal.  Regarding Tory record on growth and economy I would advise you check the socialist government of France and their growth and unemployment rates against ours over the last 7 years, throw in the high number of days lost to strikes called by the French Unions and you have a recipe for under performing economy and high unemployment. Voting for this Labour party is a mentalist decision, once Labour get its house in order then they might have a chance of becoming a decent opposition, first they have to lose this election heavily for that process to begin.

No. Where have i said that? I am comparing the two manifestos.

5 of them 7 years were in a coaltion with the lib dems getting the economy back on track.

You say the Tories are promising more of the same and this cautious approach is to be welcomed.

Getting the economy back on track, thats the best I've heard yet.

Hopefully that will be after the exit poll as my bedroom telly is knackered.
