Hadn't read this thread for a while. FFS, what have I missed!!!???

Another statement from the chairman today but not much of interest other than more delay on the ACV issue. It was noticeable though that last week the ST chairman [Daniel Izza] retweeted the BBC's tweet that the club had been issued with a winding-up petition but didn't seem to tweet or retweet the club's announcement that the HMRC debt had been settled.

Maybe he was too busy but former ST board member, George Bower, was amongst the first (if not the first) to announce the winding-up petition but it seems that it may also have been too much trouble for him to tweet that the matter had been settled.

Few Wanderersways contributors are happy with the ST and moderator Casino and Bolton Nuts founder, Sluffy, don't seem to have been at all impressed with the ST leadership or certain anti-Anderson contributors to this site. Check out the 'Club Accounts' thread on the Wanderersways forum. (Best to give Bowton (Half)Baked and a few other fruitcakes on the forum a wide berth though).

The ST is there as some kind of potential back stop should Ken Anderson's negotiations come to nowt but it might have to work very hard to regain some of the support it seems to have lost during the last year.

Further evidence that you're one and the same.

Either way, there is a relevant snippet in there

Izza and Slappy George couldn't wait to get it out there re HMRC but no mention of the bill being paid

yet again proving they are cunts

I'm not a fan of discussing what's posted on a message board elsewhere. Also, just because it's posted, doesn't make it any more important than a bloke down the pub saying it. By a mod or not.

However, it's a pretty scathing commentary on the ST, accurately representing where they are at; jumping on any negative news. They must, must, be aware that a large percentage of our support think they are acting like absolute cunts. Yet they crack on. Astounding. When are they elections running again?

Further evidence that you're one and the same.

For what it is worth I don't even have an account on the Bolton News site and post only on here and Nuts under the user name of Sluffy.

More than anything I posted the comment on here to be helpful to others having to search it out and mainly with the intention of highlighting how once again the ST's Chairman, Izza, appeared to have acted on twitter (I can't confirm myself what he posted because he has deliberately blocked the Nuts twitter account simply because he obviously doesn't approve of what I write on the Bolton Nuts forum!).

Clearly Izza is not neutral on his views of Anderson as evidenced from his tweets since he became joint owner of the club and as such I can't see how he could possibly be suitable in the role of an ST board member (let alone its chair!) if the ST want any kind of on going relationship with the club at all.

Bower is no longer a board representative so can tweet what ever he wants.

i liked how Lies 'liked' the first twatter message of the order being in place

up there with the day he painted his kids bedroom

I don't understand Iles behaviour at times.

For instance he written numerous 'positive' articles on the ST from their inception (and twittered positively many times about their leading individuals) but never reported on things like how the last two Chairmen of the ST simply 'disappeared' nor the reasons for doing so?

He clearly knows all about the existence of Wways and Nuts but never acknowledges our existence (and more importantly the voices and opinions of those who do go to games and do follow the club through thick and thin over the decades) yet happily promotes Burnden Aces even though their articles are simply re-writes of other publications that break on the NewsNow (news gathering) site - link here -

The club clearly has an ownership issue but he doesn't seem to have tried very hard to pin Holdsworth down on this.  Shouldn't he be hounding Deano about the background of the BM loan, or the £1 million charged for setting up the deal, or how SSBWFC were able to get the loan secured on the clubs assets?

He clearly didn't investigate how a town club like Bolton could run a footballing debt on the level of Real Madrid and Manchester United or even how it got to be so big considering Eddie Davies supposed true wealth?

Why did he not think there was something 'odd' about the tenacity of Holdsworth wanting to buy the club, even though he clearly had no access to money of his own to do so?  Even now why doesn't he investigate and report on what all that was about?

I quite like the man, he seems personable and funny and obviously likes his job of reporting on Bolton but he clearly goes missing when any real reporting is required and definitely takes the sides of his mates in the ST and BA when he should be keeping impartial and free of being influenced.

He really doesn't do himself many favours imo.

He is clearly out of his depth, as a local sports journo, and can't realistically be expected to go all Roger Cook on the club (and Deano).

I have no problem with him failing to ackowledge this site even exists, as it clearly does. Why he's in bed with the odious pricks of the LoV and ST, I have no idea. The obvious explanation is that he's numb as fuck.

An excellent post, spot on

Piles is reporting wage limit of £4500.....can't be good for us that

EFL are tossers, can't even compete with Burton on the terms they have brought out

That could be a game changer.

Probably don't like the fact we overcame the previous conditions to get promoted whilst still not posting the accounts until this month.

Ultimately though its the fault of previous administrations. Must admit I thought this shit would have been resolved by now.

What about players already under contract for more than that? They have to renew deals??

I'd guess not. Their contract precedes those conditions and can't see the EFL having the legal power to change them.

Thiers away around it, just add some incentives to the player, each one will have different ones

Wives as best paid admin girls in league.

Like Warrington wolves getting round salary cap.

Have the ST chirped up yet?

I think this is the choice of Ken and the leadership. Not a criticism by the way. But everything that has gone on has led to this. Players paid late most months, not paying bonuses. Its helped make the EFL's mind up
