Labour have tied themselves in knots dug their own grave and are now pissing on themselves.

Starmer is a dead man walking , vote share is dropping, their own MPs are in mutiny.

Kings speech is setting out  what the Govt will achieve and prioritise even though the likelihood it won’t be KS to deliver.

What makes it worse is that these rebels will want people to believe they could potentially run the country. But despite KS being so weak there is no one who is a realistic alternative. Burnham need a MP in a safe seat in the North West to stand down , then a by election and if he wins then a leadership challenge can start. He is months from having a chance and with the chaos round the world we would be rudderless. People keep saying that Reform will mess up in the councils but if Labour is doing worse at national level that will be the story. The clamour for Burnham highlights how little talent Labour actually have,

Remember the election ‘Country before party’

They are doing the things the Tories did wrong putting internal party politics ahead of the national interest.

Total shambles and lack of leadership when we need so much better.

I just keep waiting for Brexit to get us out of this financial pickle.

Correct. He's a slimy cunt who should never have been appointed. Although he hasn't been accused of raping kids, like the other 2 people you mention.

Sigh.

like last week you clearly have trouble reading. How can I understand any point you make when it makes zero sense? Just read the last couple of comments and try and make sense of them.

Fucking hell, you ain't half boring when you are on one.

You’re quite amusing when you’ve had a few. “Why do you take him on, just ignore him”

Continually comes back and replies to me 😆

Couldnt agree more.

We're going to go through another leadership farce. The country are exhausted and people get sucked into voting for Reform or the Greens because, well fuck it. What does it matter anyway.

I work in an industry that is fundemtally predicated on disposible income. London is doing ok, high brow dramas in regions doing well, middle of the road entertainment stuff its really tough. Sales are later and later and family stuff outside cities dropping off a cliff.

I've been telling producers only go out (oe on tour) with those shows for 'recession proof' audiences ie older, mortage paid off, kids gone. Anything else is more investment - and when transport costs, living costs have risen and wages remain stangnent in most regional towns.

Honestly, the post industrial towns i understand voting Brexit - it matters not directly to their back pocket, but when businesses that employ them (who can't generally give a fig about them) start losing money, they are always the first against the wall.

We're finally learning that capitalists won't solve these issues; and im a small business owner - i try and make the most money for me - but our business just paid over 40k in tax as we do every quarter i understand its a pot. I take nothing out and give in but we cant just exisit on capitalism

Mate, I'm on a train back home after a near 16 hour day.

You just bore me.

The Winter Fuel Allowance thing has always been nonsense. They briefly made it Means Tested, and only reversed that because of misunderstood outrage spread by the usual suspects. From the way it was and is reported, you'd think they'd scrapped it altogether. And that is still one of the only things people point to when they try to explain why they hate Starmer so passionately. The only other thing I've managed to discern is the daft Mandelson appointment, which had fuck all effect on anyone in the grand scheme of things.

The real problem in this country is why 60 odd year olds are still richer then those who are 30, and those parts of the country still remain poor whlist workong hard, we won't get anywhere - all western European countries are facing similar issues.

That's where the the populists fill the void, not with solutions bit with ill concived blame.

If we do vote Reform in, then we deserve what's coming. Like BREXIT, I'm sure it'll be viewed in decades to come as another calamitous action of self harm.

I'd hate to be one of the "poor" under Reform, as they'll be well and truly fucked over, of that I think there is little doubt

You are the absolute example of what is wrong. There will always be someone decades on who will view something as a disaster (mainly because it wasn't what they voted for) no matter what the actual outcome has been.

You have already 'calamitously self harmed ' voting in this North Londoncentric, self preservation society shower of shit. Chardonnay socialist wankers who have hoodwinked the working classes for decades before the penny has finally dropped.

You keep fucking whining about Brexit. You may find that when a pro Brexit party finally gets in that all of the benefits which could have been realised actually will be.

When you say 'poor fucked over' I take it you mean glass backed lazy cunts living off the rest of you?

I expect Starmer to survive a bit longer because of the lack of a replacement.

Streeting seems to be unpopular in labour circles (  I don't know the reason ),Burnham unlike Starmer is a competent politician but an obvious bullshitter & can't stand anyway as a non MP & deary me, Angela Rayner would be labour's Liz Truss !!

And few seem to have understood his strategy in surrounding himself with utter fuckwits and keeping out any possible challenger with any sort of gumption.

He's a legal profession trained political animal. Precisely what the country has never needed at the helm.

Which, to be fair to @Cheese, as he's pointed it out more than once, is going to be funny to watch. The Gammons bringing him to power, are the very one's he'll fuck over first. Most of them will be simply too thick to realise what's happening until it's too late.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The panic has really set in. It will be amusing to see it reach a crescendo leading up to the next GE.

Basic maths.

Never got it? What parts of Brexit didn't happen that you want to now happen?

Boris took us out with the hardest Brexit possible without completely destabilising NI, talk about rewriting recent history.

That was Boris Johnson who you backed to the hilt btw.

The letter in support is currently private, so pretty dubious in any case - assuming it's real, how weak do you have to be that your own MPs will only back you anonymously.

And in any case, more in favour of him than against is not a win. An Army with 25% thinking the general is a cunt is still fucked.

Ha, it now turns out right to be suspicious after multiple MPs complained they were added to the support letter without their consent.

So Keir can get the backing of 25% of his MPs if he lies about it. Clinging on for now (which is probably best all round given anyone who wins the backing of Labour members will be worse, and they're electoral poison whilst he's around)

In a way, this letter business isn't surprising.

The underhand, machiavellian nature of this premiership is something else.

Nevertheless, it is such a desperate move (mps are hardly going to keep quiet about it) that it merely confirms the weakness of the PMs position.

Wes Streeting left his meeting after 16 minutes, and the unions have told him to go.

When will the priest be brought in?

You keep fucking whining about Brexit. When you say 'poor fucked over' I take it you mean glass backed lazy cunts living off the rest of you? - nobody is "living off me" at all, but i do take your point

I'll take these one at a time......

Boris did the same

Farage is clearly doing the same at the minute

I suspect it's just the way of the world now for all these party leaders - self preservation first and foremost.

I agree - it's going to be most entertaining to watch what happens, and see if Farage/Tice fold under the scrutiny, because they will get it like nobody else ever has

You're never getting a sensible answer to this

I can start though:

We didn't get the £350M per week extra to the NHS 😁

I’m really interested to hear why NIC thinks someone who has worked for 10 years should be richer than someone who has worked for 40. Can anyone help?
