Boris and his government still claiming and promising we leave on 31st October deal or not.....wonder how it would play with Brexiteers if we don't. Boris opens himself up to a move to the Brexit party. He must have promised this 30 plus times now. And he knows the score - so if he doesn't deliver it......

Let’s hope he does

Well obviously I don't. But we'll see. He's still saying it. So its down to him to deliver or fail. I personally think he knows he can't deliver it but just wants to do more political posturing.

I personally have no idea whether he can do it or not.

It needs to be over, though.

It's a difficult one of him, because has soon as he rows back on his promise to leave, no matter what, that opens his party up to the Brexit Party, this is all to do with, if we have one, a General Election. I think he'll be forced into asking for an extension, but he'll say all along he was willing to leave with no deal, but he was stopped.....this would/should nullify the Brexit Party. He's quite rightly scared of Farage and his lot, as it could split the Tory vote, and lead to another hung Parliament

Oh goody...another day another Brexit lie unravels.

Quote

Secretary of State  @BrandonLewis confirms that EU citizens in UK WILL be subject to full immigration enforcement and liable to removal if they miss Settled Status deadline in exclusive Interview with@StefanieBolzen in Germany's @welt

But in 2016 good old Boris and Priti Patel put their signatures to the following statement as part of the vote leave campaign

Quote

There will be no change for EU citizens already lawfully resident in the UK. EU citizens will automatically be granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK and will be treated no less favourably than they are at present.

Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. They literally just said anything during the campaign. Not a single word was true. And they are in charge now, breaking all their promises and revealing their own lies. Absolute scum. Beneath contempt.

I agree. The most dishonest government we have had in modern times.

You’ll find the legislation was introduced by Theresa May, though.....

yes, but she's part of (or was) part of that Government, so what's your point?

What’s the lie? Apply on time for a settled status and you’ll be fine, if you don’t apply I suspect that you’ve something to hide and you either play by the rules or lose your rights to be here, exactly as it should be.

They were saying this government was the worst, most dishonest blah (see Tony Blair), but it really isn’t the same Government.

But that doesn’t fit the narrative, I suppose

They signed a statement saying they'd "automatically be granted indefinite leave" and that they'd be treated "no less favourably than they are now".

They are not automatically being granted indefinite leave and they are not being treated as favourably as they are now.

I thought it was pretty obvious the massive lies their signed statement contained.

fair enough I suppose - all Governments are dishonest, as none of them ever do what they say they'll do. This current one isn't great, but probably no worse than others in times gone by

I look forward to hearing how shrill you can get if Brexit actually happens!

They are if they automatically granted to stay if they apply and do the necessary paperwork, your comments are more of a lie than the comments from the government.

That was then, this is now, that was before Remainers, like you, tore up the Democratic rule book and tried every dirty trick they could to prevent a Democratic vote by 17.5million people, society has and still is paying a heavy price for the duplicity of the anarchists in Parliament supported by people like you

I think that might possibly be the most idiotic and stupid thing I've ever read. Have a sticker.

Not as stupid as someone who thinks we have lied about allowing EU citizens being allowed to stay here after Brexit.

Look up the definitions of the words automatic and favourable.
