Not paying our sovereign debt??? 😂 Just watch the UK credit rating drop like a brick just a time when we will be borrowing record amounts. miamiwhite Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 EU saying we’ve agreed with them to intensify discussions....who’d have thought it eh ? Three years of nonsense coming to fruition in the final days....well done Mounts. I wonder If ST will gracefully accept it when the inevitable happens ? No doubt he’ll be still posting Anti-Brexit Central Mocha Parade until his dying days Quote

No doubt he’ll be still posting Anti-Brexit Central Mocha Parade until his dying days I have said all along I am happy to accept a sensible and negotiated withdrawal deal, no problem at all with that. Then the really tough bit starts Let's wait for the detail of that agreement, if it happens. The threat of the Benn Act coming into force and Johnson having to resign is what has brought this into focus as the EU have not budged one iota so far in the latest round of talks. Quote
Winchester White Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Sounds like this will be NI given 'special status'. SNP will be all over it. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Why the posturing. The agreed pay off consisted of liabilities and other compensation payment. At the time when this was published, the lord chancellor said it would be wrong for the UK not to pay outstanding liabilities. However, without a deal, the compensation aspect is presumably out of the window. Whether the liabilities part would be revisited, fuck knows. Quote

This from the pro Brexit Telegraph half an hour ago Quote Boris Johnson has 'resurrected' Theresa May's customs partnership, source familiar with plans says 'NI effectively stays in the EU customs union but for the purposes of trade it's in UK customs union,' source says. 'It's a fudge' So we've spent all this time running down the clock to go back to the original plan the EU offered that Boris said was completely and utterly unacceptable. He said he would rather die in a ditch than write a letter for an extension. Quote

Its the one before that he said as a unionist he could never support, the DUP went red in the face and May was forced to go back to the EU and ask for UK wide customs union with her tail between her legs.
