How do you figure that out? What’s the math behind that?

It's all doom and gloom for Spider, nothing seems good enough. If I said Pope was the best England goalie he would argue it's Pickers.

Check the EU site

The overall deal is £75billion

Our share is £17.9billion

Its all there if you look.

The journalists that 1984 follows on twitter aren’t even good at googling

Appears we exported 5bn last year. So not sure where the figure the EU are quoting comes from?

last 3 years would probably total c17bn. But if this deal is detainers to be worth c10bn per year that would equate to 30bn over same timeframe.

maybe I’m being too logical and just following the actual math rather than the stories though

No

I’m pleased we are getting deals. But you must remember that leaving was to IMPROVE our circumstances.

You need to stop quoting the first tweet you scroll past. Do some homework you boneidle shite. Because you can be sure someone on here will if you don’t. Which makes you look a bit silly.

His figures of current value stand up, that said I dont understand how a trade deal can be worth 'x' amount, surely the value depends upon how much is actually traded, which will depend upon the quality of the agreement, market/economic factors etc.

A prediction really.

How much maple syrup do we need though really?

Depends upon how many pancakes you make.

They need flour.

Our harvest is going to be low this year.

Already talked about needing more from Canada, so a deal is very welcome.

See, its easy to be positive. :)

Not silly at all. If 10bn is the quoted deal how am I reporting shit? Did I say it's better or worse then the current one???... Your assuming that's what I'm thinking ya bellend.

Your post quoted someone saying the new deal “dwarfed” the current one.

As you quoted it, my assumption is that you believe it implicitly, since I didn’t see you add anything to say otherwise.

Ipso fucking facto, it’s a quote you’re sticking your name to.

And it’s bollocks.

Boom facts and all that shit

😁

Let's make it happen! Trudeau seems to be saying that we don't have enough trained negotiators to get is over the line.

Again assuming. Maybe you'd be happy with 11 or maybe you're never happy.

All part of the game..

Either that or they're laid up with Covid-19.

Should also add that pancake day once a month would be very welcome.

Right

You’ve posted the tweet above.

You havent, in fairness, added a comment.

So why did you post it?

If you thought it was bollocks, you should have said so.

No actually what you’ve quoted is without context. Our share of current EU/Canada deal is 17.9bn. What period? As I’ve pointed out we did 5bn last year and probably only 17bn in last 3 combined. New deal is estimated at 10bn per year? So that would “imply” potentially 30bn. So which is bigger deal ?

have you perused that???

The bit that isn't being grasped, is the potential that these trade deals have for future imports, particularly if we don't sort one with the EU. Need as many options as possible, so each deal is good news. It also gives a little more power to our negotiating position.

That's what's been quoted and not confirmed. Now you clarify your findings..

I’ll assume the figure you quoted is made up.

Im done now but for the record, I’ll be happy when these trade deals are over the line.

From a personal point of view, the only one that matters is the one we don with the EU.

The 10bn is simply what is quoted in the article. And as I said it’s an estimate. But based on that estimate it will be worth potentially 30bn over 3 years. I’m using 3 years as you’ve used a 3 year cumulative figure in your example.

agree the eu is the most important just now to get done but it certainly isn’t all that matters far from it

maybe to you personally because of your job it is I get that of course I do
