So today I have woken up very angry. I’m angry with Boris. But I’m also angry with people who aren’t angry with Boris. Have people forgotten how truly horrible life was back then for so many people?

We just all need to move on

Move on, getting angry won’t help I will just take over fuck all you can do

I wouldn’t say that. Many people are well pissed off, especially those who lost loved ones. I think politics is being demeaned and tarnished forever by the total lack of trust and accountability being displayed.

I said when he first became PM he was a cunt.

I underestimated how much of a cunt he was.

It's his ability to get other people to be cunts to deflect and lie to cover his cuntishness that has surprised me.

Yep, Tobias Ellwood summed it up yesterday, seemingly one of the few Tories with a conscience.

Nice to see the government implementing the policies of our shambles of an opposition. Are these policies now a good idea?

Half listening

Bearing in mind all we were getting was a loan for 200

Is it right thats no longer a loan and its now up to 600?

Think it’s up to 1200 for the worse off, £400 for everyone and no need to pay back. Not sure if it’s on top of the £150.

A Labour idea that Boris derided recently.

Opposition Shmopposition

Maybe they could have had the forsight to sort a plan last year when energy hike were predicted back then?

The loan was 200. I think

You do know its just a coincidence that its announced today

Im surprised the fuckers didnt go all in and announce it yesterday

Aye, been working and just finished at the gym.

In the most tory way possible, what do I get?

400 quid off heating bills for everyone?

I didn't get the £150 either

The £200 loan (that they kept saying wasn't a loan, even though it had to be paid back) has now been converted into a £400 grant - and every household gets that. I'm presuming we don't get cash, it just gets paid directly to our energy providers....

Families on Benefits get an additional £650  (paid in two stages, July and then September)

Pensioners who get the winter fuel allowance will get £300

Disabled folk will get £150

A lot of the cost of this will be covered by the "Windfall Tax" that Labour has been calling for over the last 3 or 4 weeks, and Johnson said wouldn't happen.....

I fully expect the energy companies to be perfectly ok with this and NOT raise bills by £401 later in the year.

Not weeks pal, months.

In my life time I’ve never seen any government give the kind of help as this government have.

It's good that they're finally doing something - although at some point in the future it'll all need paying back. There's only so much furlough and "free" money that can be dished out, before it's clawed back via the tax system.

Pensioners typically don't need any more financial help, triple locked, fucking raking it in. But hang on, they also vote so yep, £300 all around. I feel like the only cunt in the world paying MAD MAX.

Triple lock has gone, your not the only one paying paye I wish I’d of set up own business years back would of saved me serious money.

It's not gone, I thought I heard them say it's staying in place, and mean the state pension getting a circa 10% rise
