Maybe they could have had the forsight to sort a plan last year when energy hike were predicted back then?

Maybe they didn't have a scandal to cover up then.

There has never been a need to.

A pandemic then worldwide inflation, a war in Europe and energy prices the highest they have been since any of us were alive.

Aye, but they’ve stepped up to the plate, still for some it ain’t enough.

Put your rod away.
The titbits thrown to the public pale into insignificance to the contracts they gave their cronies.

Correct! Let’s hope the cronyism is investigated and if necessary custodial sentences handed out.

They did pretty well with furlough I agree but let's be honest they had no choice, the amount of businesses that would have gone to the wall would have been catastrophic for the economy.

They have now done a u-turn on a Windfall Tax and I am happy they have but let's be honest here, they have been saying for months they won't do it yet they now have. BJ was even giving KS shit in PMQs yesterday about this and that Labour just wanting to tax more (we have the highest tax take in our lifetimes under this Gov) and yet one day later, what do you know, a Windfall Tax is implemented.

Nothing to do with Boris being on his fat arse over parties in No.10 of course. 🤥

They’ve said all along that they will act further if it was necessary. No one can knock them over furlough or the fuel crisis.

FYI I saw that post and didn't bother reading anything else. I hope I'm the first to make such an obvious joke.

“Man does job”

Ramblings of a mad mon

I defin8tely couldnt have voted for him as i believed all the media

They did what any government would have to during an unprecedented pandemic when folk couldn't go and earn a living.

They then blatantly disregarded their own rules whilst others suffered extreme social isolation. But we're just ungrateful snowflakes for pointing that out right?

Stepped up to the plate my arse.

You can commend the furlough and help for fuel and still be critical of some of the stuff that went on in government.

Never going to happen

The cost of living is hitting many countries around the world, has any money been made available to them from their respective governments ?

I rarely comment on here because 99% are blinkered in which way the vote and I can’t be fucked arguing.

For those who don’t think Tories have done enough, try looking closer to home. Look at friends, colleagues etc. Our wonderful citizens have defrauded the government of £10bn during covid.

Yes, it’s been easy to do but they would have got slated if it was hard work getting hold of money.

Im sorry, but plenty of the general public have caused this ‘not far enough’

Its our money.

The majority of the money is windfall tax from energy companies.

Should they benefit from massive price hikes for what amounts to a basic human right?

We'll be sending plenty in overseas aid,  I'm sure.  Their governments can just sit and wait

France have stopped the energy companies from putting prices up anything like ours.
