Exactly

white63 and Bolty wouldn't vote labour even if the tories had set fire to their houses and done a big curly shit in their hats.

There’s more than 2 parties (as you know)

We ain’t seen the Labour one yet so how anyone can say they will a better alternative is a mystery.

To be honest, the way things are currently, unless the current incumbents actually make some perceptible developments on things like immigration, then Labour wont need to have much of a manifesto.

Rightly or wrongly, plenty of voters are a bit pissed off!

Interestingly though, today Gloria de Piero was back in her old stomping ground, speaking to a selection of the public.

Not one of them was exactly pleased with the concept of BJ coming back but none of them were overly enamoured with Sir Kier neither, with none of them definitely committing to Labour. A bit surprising, with one older woman scathing of the idea of him representing working people.

The one thing that did come out, was the respect for (and hope for him as leader) Ben Wallace. Essentially they pretty much said he'd be their man. Again, surprising,  but as he's ruled himself out then that would appear a non starter.

Maybe someone needs to have a quiet word in his ear... :)

No. I said at the time. I also said he should go before the end of his  term.
Without repeating myself, what we needed then and even more so now was stability.

I'm confused.

So for clarity he should have stayed in the summer but then go before the end of his term?

Worded that incorrectly

They’d only ever vote tory, even if a tory came round to their house, bummed their entire family, ate all the cheese and then did a big curly shit in their hats.

Yes. The last few weeks prove my point.

There’s a few on here who would do the same with Labour. There are a couple who are now Labour Party members. Do we now disregard their opinions?

I find the thought of paying money to a political party a bit odd

If i was an oligarch, who knows...

So, count me out of that

Ive never voted labour in my life

I will not vote tory again until labour have had a go

I would never become a member of any political party I don't think and I have voted for all 3 major parties over the years, mostly blue tbh.

But there is no way they deserve anyone's vote these days, never mind working class voters from the likes of Bolton.

The fact folk can't see that the Tory party has lurched to the right and is in disarray but will still back them is beyond my comprehension.

I dont think any party really thinks cutting immigration is a good idea

So it's fine to appoint a sex pest and then lie about it?

Politics shouldn’t be this interesting.

Really, it shouldn’t.

Insert 2008 global economic crisis into that and I can’t disagree with it. Tories seem unable to mention the word global economic crisis in any of their rhetoric.

Corrected for you

Agree totally. It’s absolutely bonkers watching this unfold.

I’ve also never been a member of any party. As you say, a bit odd. I’ll vote for a party that’s best for the country. In the 70’s I thought the Heath government would be the best option even though I wasn’t old enough to vote. That was a disaster, When I was old enough, I voted for Labour thinking they couldn’t be any worse than the Heath government. I was wrong.  In fact they were a worse disaster.

It’s why I get a bit touchy when people say ‘it can’t be worse’

It really can.

Long time ago of course but politics does have a habit of repeating itself.

I also voted for the SDP sometime in the 90’s

Just been on news, the Chairwoman of the Conservatives, who resigned her position in protest at BJ’s inability to lead the party has now come out in support of him. Reece-Mogg has said plenty of those ousting him now realise his departure has been worse for the party than his tenure had been.

You may have missed an earlier post. I compared the two with what is happening now.

The UK is in a political crisis layered on top of an economic crisis, which itself has needlessly exacerbated an already dire cost-of-living crisis. The idea that the answer to a single part of this horror show is to bring back a morally degenerate financial incontinent who broke his own laws is something that tells you everything about the terminal sad-sacks who are so much as thinking of it.

Goes to show what a mess they are in.

It isn't a good look.
