People are still prepared to back them it seems.

It’s liked watching abused partners justifying being twatted every night by saying “it’s ok, they mean well when they say things, the beatings are probably my own fault”

Who’s backing them? Just stating that fiscal budgets made in December 2019 can’t be taken seriously after what came after. Any party in power would have had to change their budgets accordingly.

I see they’ve now gone against scientific advice on how carbon capture should be used to reduce emissions. Ignoring an open letter from climate scientists and their own climate advisory panel.

No idea why these decisions still lie with politicians and oil and gas companies. Can we leave it to the experts please.

Christ we need a GE.

Always surprises how many who are not Tory supporters spend time on t'internet justifying their actions.
Are asking why the opposition would have done.
You would think they would realise that the role and responsibility of Government would be to govern

A few facts.

Covid cost between £310 to 410 billion.
https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9309/

40 new hospitals would cost £24billion.

https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/08/boris-johnson-40-new-hospitals-pledge-costed

Make of it what you will. 2019 pledges were not aware of COVID or the war in Ukraine.

It's not like 2010-2019 was a bed of roses was it.

Get the gobshites out. Their time is up.

Add to this list the PPE contracts handed out to Tory donors/friends, public services all in a mess, brexit significantly reducing our gdp, Liz Truss costing the economy 20 billion through an uncosted and ill thought out budget, much reduced funds to replace EU money to all devolved governments, trying to override environmental protections, Johnson misleading Parliament about parties in Downing Street and the former chancellor who arranged his own £5m tax fine and didn’t think it compromised his integrity. There is loads more but what about Jeremy Corbyn.

GB News certainly spend some money on presenters, they apparently made losses in excess of £30M in their last year, I assume they're heavily funded by somebody

A Dubai-based investment firm called Legatum, run by Paul Marshall who unsurprisingly donated loads of cash to the Leave campaign in 2016.

Never heard of him, but just had a google, he's got a few quid.....so he can probably keep them going for a few more years

Have they just stopped processing asylum claims?

Patel, braverman and any others who have had the gig in between want stringing up

There was someone on newsnight saying she thought it was deliberate because the amount being processed had dropped off a cliff for some reason, no idea if that is true.

It is true. Notice the lack of any denial, but the usual "It's all Labour's fault".

So instead of fixing a genuine issue, they are making it worse deliberately to gaslight their base and further fuel the culture war?

It's all Gary Lineker's fault.

That's pretty much the crux of it. Mental innit.

Taking a leaf out of the Trump/GOP play book, cause an issue where there was not one, and give a solution to an issue that they created, then blame everyone else for the situation that they created.

Well it works as seen on this forum and across all other forms of social media especially.

Rishi has been better than the last couple.

But that wasn’t a high bar.

Problem is that the attitude is largely similar in terms of the whole cabinet being a self centred race to the bottom.

Theyre clinging on and the only hope they have left is divisive, lowest common denominator politics.

The Conservative Party needs a total reset

Agree 100% Too close to Labour. Too much pandering to minorities instead of the majority as they are supposed to.

Significant lurch to the right desperately needed. Out of the ECHR, stop the boats, deport illegals, crush anarchists.

Vote winners all round.
