Pick a poster. It’s for the kids remember. (Doubt Casino can be bribed, well not by a pint anyway😊)

That BB post in 2021 looks hilarious now. I wonder if he still thinks there is a worse government than the last few years trilogy of dimwits Bozo/Truss/Wishi ?

2021?

If your referring to my comments last October, I was asking what a future Labour government could offer.

To answer your confusing post, the Labour government of 1974-79 was much worse. Imo.

He means this one:

I hear people on here saying this is the worst government ever.
I don’t remember any government in my lifetime having to deal with Brexit and a pandemic but there you go, each to there own as they say.

For the record, the worst governments in my lifetime were between 1964 -1979. Both Labour and Tory.

I’ll say this without fear of contradiction, this opposition is the worst in my lifetime . If anyone can convince me otherwise, I’ll give £100 to charity.

Ah yes. The one that cost me £100 but benefitted a worthy charity. (Corbyn’s opposition was what did it)
I still stand by my comments about worse governments though although Ive narrowed it down for accuracy.

So here’s how I’ll do it. If you agree then the bets on. I’ll do a postal vote. I’ll take it into Reflections and ‘secretly’ show it to Casino or any other of the posters on here who frequent it. We’ll seal the envelope and they can post it. How’s that?

i aint putting you to that trouble

if you say you did it, you did it

tbh, if anybody doesnt trust you, they dont know you

There’s really no need to provide proof.

A bet is a bet. He can pay up now if he wants. It’s for a good cause remember.

I’ve lost track. Assume folk were asking you for proof.

I gave up debating on here a while ago, like many others.
What I will say though is that criticising the government is one thing, and they deserve most of what comes their way but the general abuse of anyone with a different political allegiance or point of view is a bit worrying. We live in a democracy.

The obvious alternative to the Tories is Labour but there is very little critical analysis of them. Any mention of them is swiftly diverted back to government.

They are a government in waiting so shouldn’t we be looking and analysing their policies?

It won’t happen, like Brexit, till it’s too late.

I’m done.

Honest.

I really do prefer looking at attractive females, and if I live to standard life expectancy I’ve calculated that I really need to concentrate my efforts more on them, than shills like the tories.

Also, Royal would argue black’s white when he’s tired. 😁😁

Treat WW like a pub chat with friends. Most of the things people say on here, they wouldn’t say in a pub. I would.😊

When I first went drinking, older people said never talk about religion or politics. Difficult on a politics thread.

Luckily we don’t have a religion thread.

Might be worth starting one 😇

I’m sure we will soon find out who’s telling the truth. If it’s a death trap like the union rep says it is it won’t be passed.

Thought just yesterday you said that there were plenty of flats that were death traps, yet folk still lived in them 😂

I know. You told me this yesterday 😄

I think the point is people still end up living somewhere even if it’s unsafe.

I don’t think it being passed by HSE (which is likely will soon) is evidence that the firefighter is a Tory hating unionist who’s only motivated by politics. But if you think it’s that simple then fair enough. His overcrowding concerns seemed pretty genuine.

Prob worth its own thread but inflation/interest rates

First, tories claiming their efforts are bringing inflation down

My view was that inflation would have fallen significantly just by some of the 'ukraine peaks' dropping out

Second, just heard on the radio what i thought was a fair point. This clunky tool of interest rate rises is battering the younger folk with mortgages, while older richer folk are largely unaffected

Tell me, Im wrong?
