We have seen a massive rise like we haven’t seen before whilst the process is slower. Quote

But that’s been a facet of theirs for over ten years. No doubt there’ll be Tory voters out there who have the doublethink capability to agree with him. Plus ça change. Reet. I’m off snorkelling before making a tough decision between tapas bars. I just saw this earlier and it made me giggle. Quote
Popular Post Ani Posted August 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2023 They are just peddling lies and more meaningless headlines whilst I hate the idea that wanting a proper solution to 'the boats' makes you right wing or that 30p Lee speaks for the majority. - The polls show his party is being rejected by the majority and they are now resorting to the lowest base level to drum up support. The idea of people risking their lives to get to a country should piss everyone off, people dying is a bad thing ! The fact that people smugglers are getting rich on the back of it should piss people off. Surely they are not matters for 'left' or 'right' ? Having 150,000 plus people sat in hotels or barges costing money and unable to contribute is bad for everyone. The barge holds I think 500 people, the Rwanada solution was capped at 1000 , that leaves 148500 to sort out and more arriving. Under this Govt the waiting time to process has gone from 6 months to 18 months. It is costing over £500m to deal with supporting so many for so long. The idea that 'fuck off back to France' is the best they can come up with shows the level they have descended to. After 13 years the situation is as bad as I can ever remember and seems to be getting worse. Quote

Doing so encourages more immigrants to come here. I think even @royal white agrees that quicker processing is the right policy , and is one that Labour have already said they will pursue. And given that it’s such a big ticket item in the polling booth, this may well be the Tories simply admitting they don’t want to win. Because if you’ve said you want faster applications, they’re saying “don’t vote for us”. Lollycopter roflbins In that interview he actually says Labour say that processing them quickly and efficiently will encourage more to come. He then goes on to list what they are doing to improve the processing. He was that keen to slag Labour off he twisted himself round. He is an absolute bell-end, but to be fair I imagine he got bullied to fuck at school so might be mentally scarred from that. Quote

Just been seeing some family mate, helping a pal work on his house on the western Isles. Nothing too exciting, but it is lovely up here. You’re always welcome if you’re north of the border. Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Western Isles- surely one or two of them could be used as a large, tented migrant village. Fewer locals, more space, and a natural moat to stop those scared of water from disappearing. Quote

A better idea than Rwanda at least 👍 Tents don’t last here though, even the poly tunnels are tough plastic with timber frames I’m all for it though if we can send Lee Anderson on a permanent basis to manage the whole thing.
