Think the firefighters raised an issue with overcrowding if they went for full capacity.

Only 6 have arrived so far today. And the BBC link says the government are ‘playing it down’ being full by the weekend. Maybe they are considering the concerns after all, or maybe they won’t and will go for full capacity. Time will tell.

Either way, don’t think people arriving is evidence that the ‘communist firefighters’ were talking shite. But RW loves declaring his mini victories, so we can let him celebrate the ‘excellent news’ if it makes him happy ❤️

This barge can work if the people on there are being processed quickly and are only there a few months at a time. Doesn’t look an awful place to live providing it’s not too overcrowded. I also see that victims of torture & trafficking have had their places cancelled by their lawyers.

Let’s see what happens. I’m sure the Tories will make an excellent job of it 👍

There would be considerably more on today if some charities hadn’t stopped some asylum seekers going there. Imagine escaping a war zone, being offered perfectly good facilities only for some brain dead buffoon who thinks they’re acting on your behalf preventing this.

Very pertinent and sadly all too common.

Folk thinking for these migrants, and deciding for them what is and isn't acceptable.

They're a bit knackered now that labour have said they'll use barges too.

Not really

Theyve said when we get rid of this disgusting shower, they will be required to clear the backlog

The tories have no intention of clearing the backlog

Theyve nothing to offer, other than ' voting labour means more brown people arriving on boats'

The Daily Heil suggesting if (when) the Rwanda experiment fails the Govt will be shipping them to Ascension Island instead.  Dog whistle politics at its worst.

Except they haven't said that...

How do you think they will deal with it?

Start processing them efficiently...

As you said earlier in response to a video stating the exact same thing  - "Yes we all know this Cheese. It's been mentioned many of times on here and most agree."

When pressed if that meant Labour would continue to use the barges to house asylum seekers, Kinnock said: “The reality is, on day one we will have to deal with the we have and the shambolic mess they have left us. We’ll be left with no choice but to deal with the mess we inherit.”

Do you expect a newly elected Government to just capsize the barge the day after the election or something?

Yes we know that. But that doesn’t help those who need a roof over their head does it. So how are they going to deal with the accom issue?

The Rwanda idea has shown, so far, it's illegal

Unless somebody challenges it, saying something is or isn't acceptable, do you still think it's acceptable?

It's the challenges that have brought about this

Are you happy for a government to carry out practices that are illegal provided it means your viewpoint?

There are no illegal immigrants until they are processed correctly. That's the law, not just here but across the world. It's not difficult this, but some like to swallow everything that's been given to them by a dying government trying to take a final political leverage where ever they can; and in the process not only use human beings as pawns in their sorid game but as a distraction from their own technocratic incompetence.

I'm sure the brains trust on here will be the government's own human shield though under the guise of pragmatism, forgetting all context, law and history.

Who was talking about illegal immigrants?

Brain dead buffoon charity workers 🤣 you reach new heights of intellect daily.

How do you know there not in even better facilities?

I don’t. But I’m guessing there’s a reason that they have chosen to be housed in the barges. The point is they’re being offered perfectly good facilities and some brain dead buffoon is stopping this.

Surely the only point of the barges is to make political capital?

And that could only work if they can keep it quiet about the barges - and the Rwanda alternative - each costing more than the hotels anyway.

So you don’t know then 👍 Just guess work.

Each asylum case is different. For some the barge will be absolutely grand for them, for others a room with 4 or 6 others in a busy setting isn’t right. It all depends on where you’ve come from & what you’ve been through.

Let’s just send the ones there who it’s right for.

Brain dead charity worker buffoons 🤣 👏
