You seem to have a bit of a hard on regarding Reeves, not sure what this is based on to be honest, be interesting to know.

Her CV is excellent, certainly better than the current chancellor.

She’ll be running this countries economy by the looks of things. It’s right she should come under scrutiny. It’s not the first time she’s published nonsense. As I said she’s either incompetent or lying. Either way it’s worrying.

I'm not sure you are putting her under scrutiny though, by the looks of things.

As I said some EU countries capped fuel costs, however it’s not helped the socialist government in recent elections, FWIW I prefer how Spain have dealt with it than our shithouse governments response. To balance opinion our government helped more than Spanish government over covid.

From a personal perspective, my wife and I got very little help from the Govt during COVID to the extent that we pretty much burned our savings to survive.

But we’re certainly getting fucked over now by this fiscal policy and we’re struggling again.

Anyone with debts and low savings is in trouble, anyone with no debts and good savings is a winner, sadly I’ve 2 mortgages which weren’t fixed rate means I’m also a loser…. One property might have to be sacrificed if rates continue to climb and stay high for longer.

Grim. Hope both of you get sorted.

Well it looks like the barge has passed all the necessary requirements and some asylum seekers have already started boarding. Excellent news.

Maybe it wasn’t inhumane/ a death trap/concentration camp after all. Who’d of thunk it hey.

18 the initial contract isn’t it? Then it will depend if Labour (assuming they get in) want to keep them on.

They'll keep them on I'd have thought, as it'll be a lot cheaper than than putting them back in hotels....unless the current Government is going to process all those currently waiting between now and whenever we actually have a GE

if we get 10 and fill them

get them out the Hotels

its a Vote Winner

that's what's it about now

Indeed. Had we processed these asylum seekers routinely (like any normal government) we would already be reaping the rewards of these people in the labour market. The illegal ones would have been dealt with and the legal ones could be helping the economy to recover. Instead the Tories have just racked up billions of pounds in hotel bills whilst outraging Daily Mail readers.

Yes we know this cheese. It’s been mentioned many of times on here and most agree.

Excellent. It took a while, but you got there eventually. 👍
