Lived in Italy and Germany for 13 years despite having asylum claims in both countries refused, travelled to the UK in 2020 and submitted a further claim for asylum

Three years later, his asylum claim still hadn't been processed and he murders a pensioner in the street " for the people of Gaza"

I posted about this at the time and the fact that it was being suppressed by the press. No one wanted to know.

Show a woman complaining about tea and coffee and the reaction is like kids overdosed on Haribos.

May? Surely it takes more than a month to set up an election?

I reckon Sunak's hoping he can get one of the Rwanda flights off the ground and then call one

So it probably won't be until at least July

Cue the “ but he could have murdered someone back home brigade”

The BBC are complicit in some kind of voyeuristic tragedy whilst making a political point.

I'm struggling with this.

I get that they're being voyeuristic, but how does it make them complicit... and how are they making a political point?

If you saw the item it may help. It was the day after the vote on Rwanda. They were trying to make the point that it wasn’t a deterrent whilst watching overloaded boats set off into the sea. Minutes later 5 died.

Yep. Headline news now. Not like before. We had to search for it. Didn’t we?

You were irked it wasn't being reported when it was

Obviously you didn't search for it in the first place, right?

I saw it, thanks. I said to the missus at the time that the 'threat' of Rwanda isn't going to stop any of them from jumping in a dinghy.

My question still stands. Are you suggesting the BBC were, in any way, to blame for what happened? Apologies if I'm misunderstanding you, but to say they were complicit would suggest you do.

Also, not sure why you think they're making a political point?

My first post on it was 5 days after the  incident. I didn’t need to search. You and others did because it wasn’t headline news which was my point.

Boat folk have pretty much been in the news every day for about 6 years.

It’s one of THE most discussed topics there is.

To say the MSM ignore it is bordering on crankdom

I said complicit in the voyeurism of watching a tragedy unfold.

You questioned why the BBC weren't reporting it when they were

Why did you think the BBC weren't reporting it?

The search proved they were

The crime was reported

The sentencing was reported

You were irked it wasn't headline news?

It's still not

But it's being reported

Like before

My mistake

You asked why it wasn't reported on the news

Point being

It was being reported

It wasn't being surpressed at all

It probably wasn't headline news because of a war

Not sure why you think it would have been surpressed

Why do you think it was being surpressed or that no one wanted to know?

Probably the same reason he thinks you edit his posts, Adolf.

Every week we see these incompetent Tory MPs getting laughed at. They are awful.

I had the misfortune of having to sometimes deal with Chris Philp through work

He is a grade A loon

Well here's a bit of front line politics for folks.

So we've been complaining to our Landlord about our kitchen floor as 5 years ago a pipe busted.

Monday finally somone came round.

Email at 6pm - you have 2 months to leave. We've lived here for 6 years. We want to gut the house and we don't want anyone living there.

We pay 2.3k a month.

No wonder the Labour Party want to stop this eviction for families.
