For some reason this made me think of an old BBC news presenter - who I can picture but who's name I can't remember.

Who is it I'm thinking of? 😁

Gary Newbon?

Casino got it! But this did come up when I was looking for old presenters called Gavin.

Clearly some faulty wiring going on up there somewhere. I'll be Biden like in 20 years! 😂

He just have said "fucking paki" - then he really would have sounded like he was coming out fighting.

We have to sort this out as a country. Are we racist or not?

Not on that

He's a fckin Indian

Sickening.

He was born in Southampton. More English than Bolty.

As a country? No, far from it

All the big parties have been found using racist comments in recent years, it’ll be forgot about once the next revelation comes out from whichever party

Nah, there's never been a problem with racism in this country, not even in the 1970s / early 1980s.

The comments from that reform canvasser are dreadful.

However, Sunak might want to reflect the part he and his party (and others) have played in ending up here. Normalising this sort of thing by allowing their politicians to dogwhistle racists. We all know they’ve done it. Maybe you know failing to return the donations from a bloke who said a load of racist stuff wasn’t a wise move.

I also think that you won’t achieve better things by failing to let people speak their views or by the tactics a lot of the far left on social media employ of simply stoking up the argument.

Starmer is far from perfect but one thing I think he’s right on is that we are a tolerant country and need bringing together. We used to be able to disagree without all the divisive culture wars and animosity. If someone could find a way back to there that would be very good indeed.

Feel for Sunak

Wouldnt have used it to have a poo at Reform, though

And the words hester, jenrick, braverman, patel, anderson keep rattling around my head

All the Reform usuals are saying he is a paid actor, but when Farage was asked about him he said I have only met him once , in a restaurant years ago .

He is an actor, but it doesn't mean his is being paid to discredit Reform. In fact I would say it is very unlikely.

Really?

There is around my way. Even amongst some of my friends. And we're all pretty liberal. There might not be lynchings and 'paki bashing' going on anymore - but it very much feels like it's simmering under the surface to me.

I'm not saying you're wrong by the way - just that we've had different lived experiences.

I hear people talking about 'fucking pakis' on a regular basis (for example).

I think you may have fallen victim to a bit of classic @DazBob sarcasm 🙂

My point is that given NF has met him in the past, and remembers meeting him, he is not just some random bloke.

Being taken wildly out of context. They were talking about people coming over in small boats. Not legal Bangladeshi immigrants.

The country is in this position because the Conservatives have allowed around 80,000 migrants in on the south coast with no processing is using our money to house them in hotels indefinitely and therefore there is no simple or easy solution out of the mess. And we are in an election where I don’t think there is much appetite for the answer being, just grant them all amnesty to stay. Maybe I’m wrong. But I’m not seeing it. 45% of those coming in are thought to be from safe countries where we can process them and return them to. Which is what we should do. Rather than spend hundreds of millions of pounds to fly maybe 1000 a year to Rwanda.

Nope. It was the usual bottom of the barrel dog whistle shite. The Bangladeshi tangents are just bizarre.

Christ. I'm just watching the full thing. Biden and Trump are literally arguing about who the best golfer is.

Trump doesn't win it. Biden loses it - because of that gaffe early on.

But by God. This is horrific to watch. Some of the bollocks that comes out of DT's mouth would be funny if it wasn't so important.

If I was American I wouldn’t know what to do. Feel you have to vote - but I couldn’t vote for Trump and I mean I don’t see how a vote for Biden is anything beyond cruel.

With him being an Actor (and from the look of it, not someone who's overly active baring in mind that screenshot is from Mandy, which is mainly character actors and background actors). It's given Reform some variant of protection.

As said though, actors are allowed to have personal lives and the question now will always be was he a paid actor acting, or an actor who's clearly a racist arsehole.

I fucking wouldn't.  Wouldn't put it past Labour or the SNP dirty tricks departments.  I know for certain that you and a few others like you on here wouldn't put it past the Conservatives.
