it didn't suit the right-wing narrative, I guess.

Maybe look at the questions from the press. This from the Guardian.

"on the wider issue on the opposition, do you think one of the problems is ithat Nigel Farage can approximate talking like a human being where you just resort to talking points and dodging questions"

There are many more.

It didn’t go as Sir Keir planned.

I've watched the entire thing, and you're either deluded or simple if you think it was a "car crash".

You're the one describing a boring press conference as a "car crash", you big drama queen.

The process started in 2022. (Under the Tories) The reservoirs won’t be complete for another 10-14 years in a part of the world many miles from us. What, exactly, are you getting excited about?

Maybe @Dimron can give us an insight into this exciting news as it’s his part of the world.

Not 'excited' in the slightest, you daft old fruit. Just pointing out the good, boring news that the process is being sped up.

Is it being ‘sped up’? Just because they say something doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

Don't forget the havant thicket reservoir already under construction! :)

Anyway, the shortage is yet another indicator of the ridiculous, unsustainable level of inward migration we've seen over recent years.

Unfortunately, more reservoirs means less farm land, forestry etc, which means lower production levels for food for the burgeoning population.

Shit storm.

Yes, it is. I would've thought you'd welcome that?

Jesus wept. The last decade of 'culture war' bullshit has really done a number on you. This is the boring reality of progressive politics. Exactly how it's supposed to be. Not everything has to be a "car crash" or "exciting".

No need for blasphemy.

Heard all sorts of opinions today about the lack of reservoir building. The Havant one was overlooked and then the narrative changed to ‘significant’ reservoirs.

30 years ago, we didn’t need new reservoirs when the population was 55 million. Now it’s around 69 million we suddenly have a problem. A problem that the previous government was aware of and took actions to sort but this one seems to want to take credit for decisions taken before they came into power.

How 'woke' of you. Fair play. 👍

Why don't we just drink the ocean.

Nowt wrong with being woke. It’s hypocrisy that is the problem. 👍

We do. Then we piss it back in. It should be really fucking simple, but for some reason we introduced shareholders and made them the priority over a system that actually worked.

Fuck that, it's too salty. What's up with just drinking bottled water, there's always plenty of that in the shops. Or, just turn the taps on, plenty comes out of there.

Who the fuck actually drinks out of reservoirs, they're full go all sorts of horrible things, like fish, shopping trolleys and dead prostitutes

Tell you who you don't hear about any more

Angela Raynor

Given all the criticism she used to get before labour won, now they are actually in power and facing lots of criticism I thought she'd be getting it from all angles

She was on Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday morning. She's not in the news because she spoke sense.

Er, no.

Did you see Starmer’s car crash press conference today? Spent the whole time criticising a party with only 5 MPs! 4 years before an election. 🤷‍♂️
Anyway, the Guardian.

I’ve been to Cyprus. It’s not the back of beyond. They have technology like we do. Look up your own stats.
