Yep. Earned, paid in and now spending and keeping the economy going. Everyone can do it if they are lucky enough to last the pace.👍

Interesting fact.

‘Dubbed the ‘grey pound’, this is a market that is worth £6tn globally and £320bn in the UK, accounting for more than half of UK consumer spending.’

edit. And still paying tax.

I am economically inactive.

In last month took money out of my Pension and paid £3.5k in tax.

Then we have had a new en-suite bathroom put in and paid £7k for that.

Booked and paid for a holiday.

Economically Inactive is a strange term.

Congratulations to Boris. Another one. 😊

Whilst we are talking about Boris, another insightful view by the excellent Andrew Neil. 😉

Tens of thousands of dead people in Gaza and you're angry about the musical version of James McLean 😁😉

You keep the live arts going as well.

I’ll be honest, my last live arts gig was at the Albert Halls in Bolton, just before COVID. I have however been to quite a few operas at the State Opera Theatre in Prague. (back row near the door to the bar, same seats every time) I’ll be honest again, I was dragged there by my wife. I did enjoy them all though. Unlike Mission Impossible last night at the cinema which I didn’t.

I can believe that. 😊

Well, it swithers a bit between shows but women generally book the family/nights out entertainment so it's pretty consistent. 45 plus women are the key audience.

Pensioners love doing the food shop at M&S its bound to cost more, that and getting fleeced by internet scammers you're well away to Boby's figures

I’m a pensioner. I do most of my shopping at Sainsbury’s. My wife, not a pensioner, prefers Asda. We both like Aldi. Me for the middle isle and her for the bargains. I don’t play bowls and, as yet, I don’t piss my pants.

One other observation on your discriminatory post. People aged between 18 -34 are more likely to be taken in by internet scammers.

edit for clarity.

Discriminatory.

‘making or showing an unjust or prejudicial distinction between different categories of people, especially on the grounds of ethnicity, sex, age, or disability’

You clearly missed the bit where they are suggesting/condoning the murder of British MP's?

Presumably you were this blase about Jo Cox were you?

Not all though.

Nigel has gone the whole hog.

Will SK go the full U-turn?

Yep. I don’t think it should be reinstated fully as I’ve said previously. A means to give it to those that need it most should and could be found.
